Looks like the cheapest for 2 from Manchester is - Netflights £904.00.
However, if I fly out from London Gatwick, I can get the tickets for about £360ish each.
Get dropped off and picked up from LG - £40 full tank return trip x 2 (£80) + £720ish = £800.00
£104.00 saved!
Any airlines I should avoid? It seems like the only choices I have are US Airways and Delta - which is better?0 -
SeptemberGlad you enjoyed it as they are sooooo expensive in Vegas. I sometimes treat myself to one at home, but never feel they are firm enough. That's why I like the one at the Hawaiian Marketplace. The guy I got this time was very good. The woman I got the first time was vicious and pressed far too hard. Then she would slap me when I winced.....0

SeptemberBefore you book with Netflights, check the price direct on the airlines' websites. I have sometimes found them a few quid cheaper.
However for our last flights NF were £200pp cheaper than booking direct, but it did have its pitfalls when there were 2 schedule changes. This could have been easily sorted if I'd booked direct with the airline, but was a complete nightmare having booked with a third party.0 -
October , NovemberWell we won't be moving as at MGM for the full two weeks from monday.
Firstly its because its a package with Virgin, not usually moneysaving but actually only cost £365.00 ish as I paid the rest in Tesco vouchers.
Also recovering from a serious illness so energy levels not brilliant and I can't walk without a walking stick, so I'm pacing myself.
Last time we went we did Vegas, San Fran, L.A. and back to Vegas, it was exhausting and I wouldn't do that again, too much travelling.
This time we're going to just chill out, nothing is planned, we'll just see how we feel daily and make decisions as and when, its nice really as usually I'm so obsessed I research like mad.

SeptemberHave a good trip Triker. Have you advised your travel insurance of your serious illness? It will be classed as a pre-existing medical condition and will need to be declared to avoid your policy becoming invalid.0

Who is your policy with, what is the excess and is it per claim or per incident?
Policy is with Columbus Direct,
excess is £50 for cancellation, curtailment, emergency medical/repatriation, missed departure, baggage, cash and documents, loss of passport, personal liability.
These are excesses charged per insured person for each incident that results in a claim.
I got it through Moneysupermarket.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

SeptemberThanks for that. It sounds good apart from the excess being per person per incident as that can mount up to a few hundred pounds.
I'm pretty sure I called Columbus when I was shopping around for travel insurance and they wouldn't even quote for my PEMC.0 -
Hey guys,
Can I get some advice and tips.
Any places you recommend we go to?
How much spending is sufficient for 2 weeks? (we aren't havy gamblers)
Does booking with a Natwest Mastercard have any benefits?
Are there any cheap places to get Travel Insurance?
What is the best way to exchnage money - here or just withdraw over there?
Anything mini trips/excursions/restaurants we should consider?
Are we allowed to go into other Hotels for a mooch?
Thanks guys!0
