It's the travel time mainly...the first time I went I lived in America and we did a 3-day weekend and had really had enough by the time we were done. Not having a 10 hour flight makes it that much more accessible to go for shorter periods I think - because you know with only a few hour's flight time you can be back. And if you can go more often, you've less to try to fit in each trip so doesn't make sense to go for longer periods.

Yep - Signature offer.
What I'm suggesting is looking at the daily prices of your MGM package and instead of paying $134 for a Saturday night (and $90 for a few adjacent nights) consider moving to the adjoining Signature for a few $ more, but with incentives that more than make up for the additional up front cost. Signature is far superior to the stndard MGM rooms.
Move out, move back ....3 lots of offer "freebies"

Can you help me out with this. Need a BIG favour on this.
Id like to do what you say and maximise the best experience for the 13 nights. Basically going to fly out on Sunday 15th November and would like to check out and flyback on the Saturday 28th.
Can you please give me the mini idiots guide/links on what to book for what days?
I really do appreciate all your time, help and advice!
p.s. I dont mind paying the extra few for the signature thing you mentioned.

The only thing im curious is about the check out/in times. If i check out at 11am on the 27th, am I allowed to check in not long after at The Siggy or will I have to wait till 3pm?
Also the last thing Ive noticed is there is a resort charge of $22.40, which seems to be static. Is there any way of avoiding this?

SeptemberWe do a few hotels each trip and I don't think I could stay in one hotel for the duration of a trip to Vegas now.
We have been really lucky. In 10 trips and goodness knows how many hotel hops, we have only once not been able to get straight into a room and that was at the Palazzo.
What we normally do is call down on the last day at one hotel and ask for a late check out. You normally get till 12 with no charge, but Paris gave us till 1. It was 12 at the MGM.
We check out at 12, get a taxi to the next hotel, check in and there has always been a room ready.
On our trip in May we were 30 mins from leaving one room to entering the next room every time we moved. Last trip we excelled that and did one move in 10 mins.
When we told the Carriage House that we were moving there from another hotel, they told us to call in the morning and they would make sure the first available room would be ready for us and it was at 10.30am.0 -
October , Novemberfor two weeks I would also probably move - I personally don't much see the point of moving from MGM to Signature and back to MGM...I'd think a move to mid-strip mid-trip would make more sense to me. If you're going to go to the effort of packing and moving, seems to me that moving a bit in distance as well would make it seem more like 2 different experiences. Only caution would be if one hotel is not nearly as nice as another to do the nicer one last of course.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0

Not generally - you're ususally stuck paying the resort fee. in some cases it's worth more than the cost if you use the services, but of course it's not if you don't.
As before, I wouldn't move south strip to south strip (and further south at that) but that's just me...we used to stay south strip but like mid-strip so much better.
