The Venetian and Palazzo are to start charging a $15 resort fee from 1 October.

"Resort fee includes local and toll free calls, unlimited in-suite internet access, daily local newspaper and access to Canyon Ranch fitness center."

I usually dislike the imposition of compulsory resort fees but tbh this one really suits us and we would make good use of it all.

Looks as if they've jumped right on the easy $15 bandwagon.

When we stayed at PH in March we booked via City & Show. We were under the inpression there was a resort charge - $10 or $15 - can't be sure but they didn't charge us but maybe it was down to the $20 trick at check in.

TBH if you use those facilities then your laughing but you should have a choice.

It's $9.95 for internet per day & each phone call cost us $1. Not sure about the Canyon Ranch fitness centre although I could do with it now though.

We always use the in room internet and I'm currently paying $14.99 at Paris so at least it's something I could use, but it's getting more and more difficult to compare room rates with trying to remember who has resort fees and what they are.

Luci, I booked Venetian with city and show for a great price tbf so can't really complain. The raging part was just how typical of my luck it was. I had decided to have my second set of 4 days in a non resort fee hotel. Doubt I'll use the gym at either the Signature nor Venetian :D.

But I might treat myself to a netbook at Christmas and skype people from LV to make use of the resort fees of course ;-)

Disregard the $5 at the Imperial Palace on that one. They don't have a fee. It was an experiment and didn't go down well.

    What a surprise.
