Now thats a bargain. From memory it was $30 a day just for Mrs Frog to go to the gym.
Yep, it's great news. One of the reasons we always used to use the Signature was the gym and internet access. A real !!!!!! though if you are a lardy who struggles to walk from one hotel to the next!0 -
Unfortuantely, I think it's only great news or a bargain for the people who use it
If you don't wish to use wi-fi, and feel you get enough exercise walking up and down the strip it's really just an 'extra fee'
Given the choice, i wouldn't be interested in the phone calls or newspaper either - never needed them in the past
It would be a (small) benefit if they included some free bottled water every day, but at least it would be of some use to me (if a bit of a rip off!... but if they make you pay it it doesn't matter!)
[RANT TIME]It seems a lot of the strip hotels are now going down this route - easy extra bit of cash - it should be illegal and they should be made to incorporate it into room prices if they make it mandatory for every guest - I see no purpose at all in segregating the cost out!!![/RANT TIME]0 -

Did you book direct? If so just rebook the Encore and call to cancel your booking, telling them why of course.
If you booked with a 3rd party, check their T&C's to see what the fee would be to cancel or amend. If you booked before the resort fee was announced, could they still make you pay?
Yes they could, but I would argue this one, especially if you have a copy of their T&C's. I would at least call them and ask the question, threatening to cancel if they insist on adding it.0 -
AprilThanks, Luci. I was wondering as I have booked at the Mirage for next April and I believe they too have introduced a resort fee which I didn't know about when I made the booking. The extra 'benefits' are not things I'm bothered about.
Was thinking of emailing them and saying that I felt I had been misled, though wondered whether to wait until nearer the time so that I could carry out any threat to cancel knowing that an equally good offer was available.0
