Augustthank you, yes I have a trip report it is a bit long so apologies if you get board and for some spelling and typos!
Wednesday 5th August
We left for Manchester airport nice and early 4.15am in a hummer, we were the last ones to be picked up so everyone was on the champagne by the time we got in, a nice start I thought!
Once on the plane, the flight was one of the worst flights I have ever been on in my life, the sound on the main film was not working, great 10 hours with no sound on the main film channel. The lady who was sat next to me was nice though before we had even taken off she ate three packets of crisps, on take off she ate 2 more an egg sandwich 2 cheery bakewells two big packets of maltessers, a packet of small Pringles. 2 smirnoff ice, 2 maggners and all the regular plane food! I should point out that when we left it was 10am.
The seats on the plane were sooo uncomfortable, so 10 hours with nothing to do I was to lazy to even read my book!
Then the captain says cabin crew seats for landing, well I nearly wet myself after the long long wait I have had I could not wait. Then something unexpected happened. The plane seemed to plummet thousands of feet quiet quickly, people started to scream. The captain had already said this would happen as he always has to make a fast landing as the runway is small and the heat affects the landing making it bumpy.
So anyway, yes you guessed it I threw up everywhere, the nice lady next to me moved my bag so I wasn’t sick on it and gave me a plastic bag to vomit in. Oh this is not the best of it I had just had tomato pasta!
So on landing everyone was clapping, while I was in tears and mortified that I had threw up very loudly in front of everyone. What a lovely start to my Vegas dream!
Out of the airport and in to a taxi, the heat was not like anything I had ever experienced before, I was sooo excited to be here, though still a little upset from my ordeal.
We took a taxi to the Bellagio, how big is this place it seems sooo huge, yet from the airport it looks so close. We waited in line to check in and had already decided not to do the $20 thing, though my partner did ask if we could have a complimentary upgrade, she was stern and said no, never mind I really don’t care I’m in Vegas baby!
So after looking at the view of the pool from our room we headed out onto the strip, again I can’t emphasise how bad the heat felt on me, it was like I was in an oven.
Straight over the road we went to the miracle mile, shopping yeahh, and what do I spot but Sepphorra’s I was in my element, my poor partner tried to move me on as fast as he could!
It was time for food, so we headed to Las Vegas Cheeseburger, the food was really nice and huge, I had forgotten how huge the portions are in America. We rang my brother and his friend and they met us for food. We had a burger each with onion rings and chips, far too much even to share, this was such a good start to my long awaited holiday. By this time it was 4pm we were so tired. I tried my best to heed all your advice and stay up as long as I could. We managed to stay out another hour, checking out the Ebay machine in the Bellagio, I had no idea how to play this but insisted on putting $10 in without even checking what to do!. I got so excited by the man playing next to me on the big screen, I really don’t know why! After this excitement it was time for bed. I managed to stay up until 7pm, slightly disappointed in my own will power though bring on day two.
Whoops, I missed out playing at the casino at Planet Hollywood on the way back to the Bellagio on the previous night. My brother put $1 in the machine and won $40 straight away, being British and not much of a gambler I tried to convince him to pay it out, which to my shock he did, I know I am a kill joy!
Thursday 6th August
Though I went to sleep nice and early I have to say I kept waking up throughout the night. By 6am I insisted that we got up and found breakfast. Hmm this was a problem, everywhere was shut, the casino was empty, so I ended up in the miracle mile in some coffee shop with a juice and a yogurt. We Milled around for a bit then decided to head down to the Excalibur to see my parents. Once we got to the Excal I was seduced by the machines again!
So we rang my parents to get them down and played cards on the $1 machines. Well the next thing I know is my partner hits a royal flush, he made my take a picture!
As it was only a one dollar we on $80. I wish he would have put more in! We high fived and screamed like idiot, it was just a good job the casino was quiet empty! My parents met us and we took a nice stroll down the strip and at ate more breakfast at Mcdonalds, classy as we are!
We then had to head back to the Bellagio as we were getting picked up by the little chapel of flowers to get our marriage licence. Off we went, there was virtually no que when we got there though it quickly built behind us. The licence has gone up from $55 to $60. It was so simple to get the licence, After this I had arranged that we should all meet at Ellis island, of course no one had a clue were this was, I told them all it was just behind Ballys, as if I have been lol!
Once in Ellis island again I hit the machines, don’t be fooled by me I was only ever playing $1 machines, to scared to play anymore as I really didn’t understand! Well I still won $30, so some more high fiving, like a saddo, I dread to think what I would be like if I would have won anymore!
Ellis island was smaller than I had imagined, we headed over to eat food everyone ordered and I ordered the steak special, feeling very smug with myself!
The food was nice the portions were huge and the boys all made the most of the $2 beer. Though the ordered the light version and moaned it tasted like Fosters, though don’t let this bother you as they continued to order it, I think they just liked to moan.
We decided to all stay out together and walk the strip, so our next destination was Bills Gambling hall, this was because it was the first place we came to on our travels.
I had decided to give up the gambling for a little bit and make the most of the 99cent margaritas; ok there small but they do the trick. The boys took full advantage of the 2 buckets of bud for $10. In fact I would say they were getting silly!
We sat at some tables and watched fat Elvis, now my Dad at this point was itching to go back to the hotel as he was getting to hot and agitated, after having a go at him and making him drink he loosened up a bit, thank god! What happened next no one could have guessed!
We all hate Elvis (sorry) so we were all half laughing that we were actually sitting watching this. My brother was the worst, he loves rap music and nothing else, he was slightly upset that we were watching Elvis and refused to look.
Well 10 minutes later Fat Elvis needs some volunteers to play on plastic guitars, oh no you guessed up gets my Dad, my Dad!
My Dad who was stressing out about the heat, though after some of the buckets of Bud decided he could play Vegas, how embarrassing!
Oh no this is not the best of it, then joined by my brother, oh well we could not keep a straight face we were all falling about laughing with tears down our faces, while they pretended to play air guitar to Viva Las Vegas with two other strangers. We tried to take some pics though in all honesty it was so funny they were jumping off the stage and on their knees, this was not the brother I knew, or my Dad who was too hot not long ago!
Anyway they didn’t win, one of the other guitar players won obviously more skilled. Then some Americans came over to my Dad upset that he hadn’t won stating that the competition was rigged, well my Dad loved this didn’t he. They both got I played Vegas with Elvis certificates to take home but no Elvis CD, I am not to sure that they were upset by this. Now I though this was too much fun, so time to break it up and take a walk down to the Venetian. Once in the Venetian my feet were burring, though the shops were calling. Amazing shops I looked in Jimmy Choo, Chloe, the bags were dearer which upset me, never mind I though I will find an alternative bag a girl never gives up!
Once round the shops in the Venetian we decided to head back home, it was about 8pm and my feet were sore. So back down the strip we went collecting a cocktail on the way, no time for food though my partner did collect a sandwich from somewhere near Casino Royale, he insisted it was the best sandwich ever, I really didn’t care by this point I needed my bed. So back to the Bellagio with a bottle of Coke and ready to watch Law and Order. My Vegas time was going far to fast, so I decided tomorrow was going to be a productive day after all there is too much to do!
Friday 7th August
Well today I was on a mission, I wanted to see as much as I could.
So we headed down the strip to Wendy’s for some breakfast, didn’t really enjoy it, never mind.
After Wendy’s we had a look around MGM grand, this place is huge, I think I would like to stay here. As we were looking at the rainforest caf! someone ran and jumped on me, not to worry it was my brother, who thought this was very funny!
So we went over to Mandalay Bay to check out the hotel, we walked around it and through the casino, I really liked this hotel, we seen the beach from a distance. It must of only been about 9am and it was full. Seen the Ice bar though it wasn’t open to my disappointment.
Next stop the Luxor, this looked so big from the airport, though once we were there it seems pretty small. I didn’t really like this one it seemed a bit dirty though I loved the roof and the way it is the same inside and the way the rooms come down the side of the pyramid. Next stop the Excalibur, on the way we bumped into my brother, who insisted on carrying his Everton banner everywhere in case he had a photo opportunity!
So we went on our way had a look around the Excalibur not much there, though this had become our favourite place as we won the $80!
Into New York New York, which my brother insisted was tacky, not that he has been there, we liked this one it seemed very lively and there seemed to be lots to do.
Into the Monte Carlo this had a strange smell, not much going on though it seemed nice and it had some nice shop which we looked around.
Back to Wendys for a burger, my brother and his friend joined us though they had a subway. My brother insisted it was the best sub ever, I don’t know how it could be it was only tuna with red onion, well at least he was happy.
Into the Coke factory were we tasted Coke from around the world, seriously who makes this up, they were all horrible, with the exception of one or two!
Next stop M and M world, I was good had a look around and resisted buying things, I always end up buying things I don’t need and that are no good!
So we left my brother and his friend who decided the pool party at the MGM was were they would spend the next couple of hours. We got off the monorail at the Hilton and decided to work our way up the strip. Like I said I was on a mission and wanted to see everything.
Well once in the Hilton we seen some sights, a nice old man sat at a slot machine then he turned around and was dressed a captain kirk! We had too hurry on out of here, we seen Klingon and everything on the way to the lobby!
We then walked up to Circus Circus, not really sure where it was, we found it in the end, I needed the toilet so decided to go there before we looked around at the attractions, I wanted to see all the rides. Well in the toilets was a needle box that was it I wad out of there no rides no looking around, lets go!
Into slots of fun, I expected this to be much bigger than it was, we stayed a little bit and had a 99cent margarita. We headed on up the strip to the next hotel, the Wynn was the next hotel though it was on the opposite side of the road and by now the fashion show mall was calling me, so we abandoned the Wynn and headed for the shops. Wow this place was sooooo big. Again on my mission I know Nordstrom was here so I was busy following all the signs to get to it, I didn’t communicate this well to my Husband who kept messing the plan up and stopping at shops on the way.
Finally arrived there and located the Uggs, mission almost complete. I tried the new style Uggs on, only to my disgust my feet would not fit in, they were like balloons, not good. The poor lady was trying to get me to try a variety of them on, this was not possible. We only had enough money on us for one pair, but I needed two!
Oh well that would mean we had to come back for the other pair. We headed into Macys, guess who we bumped into, my brother and his friend, I think they were stalking us! My Husband bought a nice Addidas hoody, which my brother copied. We were all out of money, not good. So it was back to the hotel for us!
On the way back we all stopped off at the Mirage, this looked like a nice hotel. Then we spotted the secret garden, we wandered down and found out it was $15 each. This made my husband a bit angry as we had no money left to go in and he wanted to see the white tigers, oh well suppose we were coming back here too!
Back to the Bellagio for a little rest and some cash!
We decided that we would eat a sandwich in some deli in New York New York, it was huge. I had a chicken one and my husband had turkey. They were lovely. We decided to meet my brother and his friend for drinks. Drinks we had, we walled over to the cocktail place next to M and M store it’s called La something no idea what. So we were all tired and we sat outside on the wall with our big cocktails looking a bit silly! We came outside as they had live music on and the boys were moaning about the noise, seriously what is the need.
After my big cocktail it was so time for bed we had a big day ahead of us.
So a bottle of water and it was time for Law and Order again!Loves Vegas shopping and beauty products!0 -
AugustSaturday 8th August
Woke up nice and early kicked my then boyfriend out of the room, he was going down to the MGM with all the boys, so we didn’t see each other before the chapel.
My mum and best friend turned up shortly after and we drank some champagne while waiting for Glam squad to turn up. A little lady turned up to do my hair, she insisted that it was to do 3 hair and make up I told her it was one hair, she was a bit rude and had to check on her paper, but I’ve just told you! Anyway she did my hair really nice then James turned up, he was really nice and fast. As soon as he came in the room he asked us if we knew who Usher was as he just caught the lift with him, how not fair Usher was in the lift and I wasn’t.
After make up it was time to get into my dress, this took half an hour as it was a lace one, well we were fine listening to 50 cent, not exactly romantic.
Time to meet Todd from Bentley and Wilson in the lobby, well as soon as we came out of the room I nearly went flying, typical me.
Todd was lovely, then the limo came and the fountains were going, this was nice the limo man opened the windows on the way out so we had a good view of the fountains. The ceremony was really nice, strangely I was not nervous as all.
Though my brother had the rings, so as my partner turned to take the rings off him I noticed that his flower was hanging out of his pocket and not clipped on, this made me get the giggles. Later on I found out that it was because he refused to have a pin in his Armani shirt, typical him.
We had paid for the limo to stop off at the sign so me and my new hubby could get some pictures there, though my husband had kindly said that my brother and his friend could come, yes you guessed it with the Everton banner! Joy and romantic, to top it all on the way in the limo my brother decided to quiz Todd about were the best strip joints were, only my brother.
The sign was about six deep with a que Todd suggested we stand at the side and get the pictures done, which we did. I am not sure I would be happy with this if I was in the que, no one seemed to mind thankfully. Many shots of the banner later and we were on our way back to the Bellagio.
We had a lot of nice shots outside the hotel and in the hotel, lying on a couch etc, it all felt very silly especially for my husband who hates getting his pictures taken at the best of times.
We all ate at the Bellagio buffet, it was okay, I really wouldn’t say it was amazing. I hardly ate a thing as nothing seemed to match. The sea food was plentiful though I am allergic to fish so didn’t have any though everyone else tucked in.
It was now time to go back to the room and get changed. We all met up a couple of hours later at the Hilton ready to go to Freemont street. Maybe this was not a good idea, as there was so so many star trek fans, it was a bit scary!
A taxi ride later and we were all enjoying the bustle of Freemont street. Though the taxi man insisted on telling dumb blonde jokes all the way, which we had to pretend to laugh at, incidentally my hair is blonde, not sure if he was trying to insult me or not, either way I didn’t care.
So back on Freemont street it was very busy and bright, the Beatles were playing, which seemed a little odd, they also had really bad scouse accents, I don’t think anyone else noticed this except us.
The drinks were much cheaper here, so bring on the big cocktails, we stood around the stage area listening to the Beatles and drinking, it was a really nice atmosphere, everyone seemed happy or maybe it was because I had just been married, lol. A short time later, yet again I was ready for bed, so again a bottle of water a taxi ride later and it was time for Criminal intent!
What I should point out to you is by the time we got back to our room I was always out for the count, while my parents would text me saying they were having a drink and out till the early hours, how they did this I just don’t know!
Sunday 9th August
We woke about 9am and headed to Ceasers, we had a look around we liked it here and then headed for breakfast in Planet Hollywood, typical us we had a English breakfast. Like yesterday I wanted and intended to do as much as possible, so it was straight to the Wynn for a look around. This hotel was empty and I mean empty. There was hardly anyone about, this included staff. So we has a quick look around the shops that had just opened though they were empty as appose to the Bellagio that when the shops had just opened seemed really busy. Next stop the Palazzo, I know I have spelt that wrong, this hotel smelt really odd, you could also smell the waft from outside the hotel too. My husband said it was a nice smell I have to disagree, it was like some type of air freshener smell though it was over-powering. Again a quick look around and it was back down the strip and a stop off a casino royale. A quick flutter, though we didn’t win anything. By this time my feet were so so sore and it was only about 12 noon.
So we headed back to the Bellagio had a good look around at the shops, I tried to con my new husband into buying my something from Tiffany’s though he said I had to wait, why???
A little rest later and we were on our way to the MGM to meet everyone and head to the outlet, premium outlet. We were waiting quiet a bit for my brother and his friend, who had been at the pool party, lapping up all the fun. They told us the pool parties were really good and fun, well when they turned up the looked like two Ribenna berrys, they were so burnt. They had decided to use oil while at the pool as this is what some Americans were using this, now what you don’t know is that I and my brother could not be any whitter, so this was just sillyness, and there is me with my factor 50!
Anyway, a $20 taxi ride later and we were at the outlets, it was very hot here. We all split up and decided that we would meet back up in 2 hours, which should give us all enough time to shop, especially as I had sore feet. So we went round and round shopping till we dropped, it was great! We soon realised 2 hours would not be enough so we all text and agreed on a further hour and a half. Well when we met up everyone had bags it makes me so excited thinking about the shopping bags!
I got a juicy tracksuit, as I bought the tracksuit I got a free t-shirt. I also bought a huge guess bag, and a pair of jeans from French connection, these were a real bargain at $10. My husband spent over $200 in Ralph Lauren, along with my brother and his best friend, My brother also bought a lot of things from the Eko store, (I think I have spelt that wrong), now he spent a good 20 minutes in this shop and bought a lot, including a hoody that was $14, what a bargain. He also bought some Levis. His friend bought some converse and a couple of t shirts from Nike. My Dad bought himself a t shirt and a watch, my Mum got some new shoes as her feet were also swollen. My friend bought a bag and her husband bought some shirts and jeans. Sorry if what we bought is so descriptive though, I want to let people know about the range of things there.
Back to the Bellagio, with the bags only the taxi man thought we said Palazzo, nooooo. My boyfriend insisted on getting out as it would of taken ages to get down the busy strip, but my feet are sore, nope this didn’t work so we took the rather long walk back to the hotel. However we stopped at the little Bacardi hut on the way, there was such a long que that we had drinks in the bar opposite. After a few drinks and me moaning that I really wanted a proper Bacardi one (which I don’t even like) we headed back to the room with the bags.
We decided that we would head back out to the Cheesecake Factory for food. After a 10 minutes wait and another look around the shops, we were ready to eat. I had the most lovely cocktail, now I don’t know what it was as I asked the man to recommend me one. He gave me something that was peach and he said it has champagne in. Mmmn it was really nice. I had chicken tortillas and my husband had the ribs. The portions here were huge, before we had finished I had made my mind up we were coming back tomorrow! So after a couple more cocktails it was again time for bed.
Monday 10th August
Up early again, though to be honest I didn’t mind as there was so much I intended to see. So we decided today we would go shopping, I know what you thinking, we already been shopping though not really for us. So we headed towards the fashion show mall, for a proper look around. On the way I stopped off at Casino Royale for a Subway, this was the biggest sub I have ever seen. I had the steak and cheese, seriously the steak was pilled very high. Well I tried my best and ended up feeling very sick. Off we headed to the Fashion show mall. Again straight to the Uggs to collect the pair I never had enough for the other day, the lady even recognised me, maybe it was my fat feet, I’m just not sure.
Into Macys again, I found a lovely pair of rocka wear jeans, I had no clue how to work the sizes out as they were size 1 2 3 etc. I asked the lady who asked me my British size, which is a 12 and she nicely told me I would need a size 30. Now seriously a size 30 they only the jeans were not in these type of sizes, out we went empty handed it was not fair! Or maybe they were but not from what I saw.
Back to the forum shops as I had previously spotted a Marc Jacobs clutch, so in there and 2 clutch’s and a pair of flip flops later, we were then back in Tiffany’s, seriously how much do I have to hint??? Yeah, one heart Tiffany bracelet later and we decided to head back to the Mirage for the secret gardens. Now this was ok, though in my opinion not worth the money, it isn’t that big so we took some pictures had a drink and left.
Back to the Bellagio as again my feet were very sore, oh but we must stop off at the Bacardi hut, so we did. I asked for some black cherry one, which has Smirnoff not Bacardi. Then the man makes it and asks on the rocks or not I said I didn’t care. I knew it wasn’t right as it was clear, not cherry like at all. So the very British part of me thanked him and took my unwanted drink, then I moaned about it for a good ten minutes, while my husband rolled his eyes and ignored me! We began chatting to the nice couple sat next to us, who were from Texas, they were both lovely. So a few drinks with them and exchanging details for Facebook and we were ready to drop our bags off.
I was so tired and really wanted to flake in the room, there was no way I was going to miss out on the Cheesecake factory, so out we went. We met up with my parents and my brother and his friend. We had a long wait to be seated this time an hour and a half, never mind the shops are still calling me!
So once we were seating it we all ordered, my Dad had steak, this was huge, he said it was the best he has had. My Mum had fish she liked it though insisted there was too much, while still eating it! My husband and my brothers friend had the pulled pork sandwich, which I wish I chose, have this if you go. I had the spicy chicken sandwich; again it was lovely and huge. My brother had a burger, it wasn’t just any burger it was hugeeeee, and there was about 4 patties on it!
I made myself have desert so I had the snickers cheesecake, it was amazing though no way could I finish this, there was too much.
It was clear throughout the meal that my brother and his friend had been a little silly, like I say they looked like Ribeena’s and both had the shakes throughout the meal, nothing like a bit of sun stroke, the both had blisters on them to, not nice. To be fair to them they were not moaning about it and were telling us many stories about how great the MGM was. They tried to hold the lift and then the doors shut so then they held it and got in, to their horror everyone started clapping them, my brother said this continued for a number of days every time the got in the lift! They were telling us the American ladies were trying to look after them and asking if they had or needed sun screen, my brother was insisting that they fancied him , though he hadn’t looked in the mirror had he, they were probably worried and scared!
Anyway after the food they headed home, as like I say they were not well at all. The rest of us headed to the Mirage to watch the free volcano show, it was really good and we managed to get a good spot to take some good pictures. My parents were trying to convince us to stay out for a drink though we just couldn’t my feet could not take anymore. I don’t know how they could possibly stay out late! So again it was back to the Bellagio for us, for some well deserved sleep.
Tuesday 11th August
Oh no it is our last full day in Vegas, this is not fair, it has gone so fast.
We received free show tickets from the chapel, for Nathan Burton. We decided that we would do this today, so we headed over to the Flamingo and gave our card in to get free tickets. It was then I spotted the Wizard of Oz machines, I’d been looking so hard for these but couldn’t find them, they were full so we went to Magaritta ville for cocktails, Yum they were really nice, I love cocktails. After this we headed to the Paris to have a look around, oh yes more Wizard of Oz machines well now I had ot play. So $20 in the machine and I was good to go. Well, I seen everyone else playing and they had flying monkeys and the good witch and the bad witch, how excited was I?
Well about 2 minutes later all my money was gone, no surprises on the screen for me, I didn’t think this was fair at all! We headed to the mirage for some dinner, it was still on early. We went to the Carnegie deli. I had chicken salad and my husband had a chicken sandwich. They were ok but too much. It was really busy in here. Now it was time for the show.
The Nathan Burton show was ok, funnier than I had expected it to be. My husband insists that the two men who came on when he went off were much funnier and better. It was a good show considering we never had to pay and a nice way to relax and end our Vegas holiday. When we came out of here we were very hungry so off we went down the strip to the rainforest caf!, we both ordered the ribs they looked lovely on the picture. I had another cocktail, again no idea what it was the man recommended it, can you see the pattern!
He seated us in a nice place by the fish tank, when the food came we were both really disappointed. The portions were small, and the ribs were awful, they were very fatty and had hardly any meat on them. I wanted to complain though my husband talked me out of it, to be honest it really made me angry as this was the first bad meal we had had and it was on our last day. $80 for the meal and we were out of there and very much hungry, this was not normal, I had been so full every other time I had eaten here.
We headed up the strip had a couple more drinks and walked up to Treasure Island to watch the Sirens, we were meant to meet my brother, though his friend could not get out of bed as of sun stroke. I got a nice spot ready for the show, while my lovely husband got me a big skull cup with red slush in oh ok and vodka! I didn’t even have to ask for it! It was then he pointed out to me I had not had a normal drink all day only cocktails, yeah for me!
We sat waiting ages for the show, the crowd built, and I mean it built. People were finding it hard to walk past without pushing and shoving. A girl then started to scream that someone had stolen her camera and she began to search the man next to her, I was really disgusted by this, I don’t really want to post the details but after this I wanted to leave and not watch the show. Her camera may have been stolen though if it had the person would have well been gone, or as of the amount of people it may have genuinely been pulled off her by accident, either way she was really rude about it. I know her camera had gone, trust me though if you had been there her attitude was awful. We did watch a bit of the show though the crowd was too much for me, so we left and we actually didn’t think that much of it, in my opinion not worth watching though it was something I had to do as a first timer. Back down the strip it was and time for my last Vegas sleep I felt like crying.
Wednesday 12th August
Up early again, this time because we had to pack, but I didn’t want to!
Once all the packing was done and all the bags and boxes disposed of, it was time for my last breakfast. So we headed right at the lifts, we’d never been this way before, I found a little caf! in the Bellagio and had some breakfast, it was ok, again not worth the money. Back up to the room and it was time to leave. Caught a taxi to the airport from outside the Bellagio, I felt so so sad, the taxi ride was a lot cheaper on the way back, how does that happen!
Once at the airport we had some pizza and put our last $5 in the machine, we didn’t win though it did last a fair bit of time. This was really the end, I was very sad but at the airport I knew I had to come back. I love Vegas, goodbye for now only!Loves Vegas shopping and beauty products!0 -

BA have dropped prices by about £50 each but i'm holding out for a good BA sale starting tomorrow, as I understand.
Then, hopefully a price war will begin.0 -
I've not done it myself (gone London every time), but they seem to take the mick with their add-ons.
Seats together?... that's £20 please!
Oh, you want to take some clothes with you? That's just £30 to stick a bag in the hold!
And it's just £17 to eat on the plane!
Thomas Cook
yeah the add ons are a lot - but the flights are only 395 - plus 47 for food and luggage - and we'll take our chances on whether we get to sit together or not - coz that really does take the pee!0 -

I also haven't heard of the Tudor Rose, but have heard of the Desert Rose which is behind Hooters and not far from the MGM. It gets good reviews and I think they include a snack type breakfast.
The top end of the strip to me is towards Downtown as that's north. MB and MGM are at the bottom (south) end.
Yes! I meant Desert Rose - I guess I call the south end of the strip the top, because it's classier! not booked anything yet, will keep an eye out for a cheapy at MGM or somewhere. I think a balcony would be nice, but if it's not that warm at the end of October it's not going to be that useful...not keen on the IP as it'd be nice to be somewhere classy. :-)
Looking forward to hearing if anyone has actually stayed there themselves. We'll be doing lots of walking anyway, so I guess it depends how much it adds on compared to say Excaliber or luxor.
Cheers for all the help guys.0 -
