Hey, i'll be wanting to check out a rifle range or shooting range when I go, has anyone been to the one's in LV?

Don't go on a Saturday or peak time (holiday weekend) unless you want the big package with the AK47's (that cost a bomb by the way). We tried just to shoot a normal pistol, just to try it really but they were too busy so would only sell the big packages. We went to The Gun Store (Tropicana Ave I think? Just along from MGM off strip). There's also one called Blue Diamond something too. The Gun Store is most popular. It's quite scary when you go in as they ask you to sign something that basically say if you get shot and even if it's our fault, tough luck. :rotfl:

It's in my trip report, I'll post a link for anyone new to the board who hasn't read it...... Here it is (thought it was on the page 1, but it's not there) The gun store details on the Saturday......

Yep, that the one. It's just off strip, a quick cab fare or free parking behind it if you have a car rental......
Oh, I had another good experience yesterday with carhire3000, booked a car in London for the day. Great service, great price. Will definately be looking at them again for our next Vegas trip :)

Took a taxi to this place one morning mid-week. 2 of us plus 4 brits turned up while we were there, so not really busy. Staff were very professional (though till girl was miserable as sin).

Chose a Glock 17 and H&K MP5, came with 2 magazines each I think (need it with a full auto as you'll get through the ammo so quickly). Certainly worth it for an experience you'll never be able to have in the UK.

Only weird thing is they wouldn't let us borrow the phone for a taxi (or phone for one for us, even when we offered to pay), but we managed to just hop into the next taxi that dropped someone off at the shop.

I've not been yet but am looking to go on the shooting safari.

It looks much better value to me and has been recommended on this thread a few times. I'm sure someone will pop along with some more info.

    Hi all

Have not posted for a while but have been keeping up with the thread.

    8 days to go :j

OH wants to see one of the cirque shows, Anybody got any thoughts on which is best?

    Regards,

    dkent

I have seen Ka, Love, Mystere and O. Most people recommend Mystere for 1st timers. Either Mystere or O would be my choice.

Thanks guys, that should reassure her a bit. So I take it you're driving through the mountains rather then over them. What's the driving terrain like for VOF do you need quite a big hire car for it?

    Thanks again.

Its like a normal road (but without the traffic), fully paved and perfectly drivable in any car/bike. There are plenty of stop off points for photos and hikes etc You go through the red rocks and not over them. Both are great scenic drives away from the madness (but greatness) of Vegas.
A good stop of point is also Red Rock Casino for some lunch.

I have been 3 times. Can get expensive.

Its great fun though. Just like a driving range with everyone lining up and shooting your own targets. Try something mid range that has a bit of a kick :)

They do packages where you have 3 x guns. One is a normal pistol, one a machine gun and one some crazy shot gun thing.
