For Cirque du Soleil tickets please read this post:

There is a link HERE they have tickets for all Cirque du Solei shows as buy one and get one for a friend for $25, this should work better for most people than the other promos.

I just picked up four tickets for the 10:30pm showing of "O" for just over $400 in good seats.

Fly out to the States next Friday and then onto Vegas on the 7th!

Thats a great offer and works out to be about 40% off i think, great deal for anyone who wants to see "0" in particular.

Its valid for performances up to the end of October so for anyone looking to see Love after then, or who needs to buy an uneven number or tickets Lucis deal will work out better.

Thanks for this, it may come in handy. What do people make of this show?

We thought it was a great show and neither of us are really Beatles fans. There is so much going on (even for a Cirque show) at times, so don't stress about not being able to take everything in. Have a look at videos on YouTube.

£533 with Virgin going on the 14th, only £20 cheaper going on the 16th

Thats what I have found too. These prices have been consistent since the Paccios (sic) fight was announced. We almost had the money to book it before we found out and could have got the lot of under £2k (in hotel).

I'll probably do tha Saturday for the fact that the others want to go then. I will do some digging on the indirect though.

    Thanks c l a i r e

I think we will take in the Love show, it looks good. The time we spend in Vegas will be based around the Canyon, Casino's and Thrill rides.

My only concern is bringing the price down because we were due to fly out on 14th November but there is a fight at MGM that evening, so flights are dear.

I'd like to be near the venue for the big fight but then again, none of us are big boxing fans so it won't be a huge miss if we fly for a week starting the 16th Nov. Any suggestions on trimming the costs. We really do need to go with Direct flights :T

    Thanks.

I put a brief opinion on it in my trip report a few pages back. If you are considering going then do, we had a great night. There isn't really meant to be a story behind it, just pure Beatles music.

We used this for Zumanity, they also have flyers around in Vegas with the same deal.

I thought I had better finish my trip report as it is quite a while since I started it.

    Day 14

We left Vegas today, had breakfast in Flamingo as it was more convenient and then made our way to the airport. We had all sorts of problems there. We flew with Delta so it may be different for other companies. Whereas in this country they have the check in desks and a few terminals so you can check in for yourself, you have to check in at the self service tills there and can only use the desks if you have a problem (of which we had many). It wouldn't let us check in with any of the reference numbers or ticket numbers that were sent in our confirmation so I put our destination in (Edinburgh) and that didn't come up either. One of the women helped us in the end, it turned out we could only check in as far as Salt Lake City due to there being so many long gaps between our flights (8 hours and then 13!). It was also going to charge us for our luggage as it is only free on international flights and obviously it isn't to Salt Lake City. This meant we had to queue up anyway which took long enough. The woman behind the desk couldn't check us through any further but managed to check our bags the whole way  we had visions of our bags being in a different place.

50 minute flight to Salt Lake City

We were able to check in for our New York flight straight away but not for the Edinburgh one which we had expected by now anyway. We did try to get bumped onto the earlier one leaving 1 hour later instead of 8 but it was full (we were going to try and get a last minute hotel and spend longer in NY).

We ended uo having a great time in Salt Lake City though. The mormons provide a free bus into the city so we took advantage of that and got a guided tour at the same time. We then took a tour of their temple before going into the centre. We got some dinner and then people watched with Ben and Jerry's :D. It is a really clean city and it is quite easy to pass the time there.

We went back to the airport on their last bus (8.30) and had a 3 hour wait for the plane which ended up being late because the pilot slept in. By the way, if you fly from there late at night, make sure you have eaten earlier or take some food with you because all eateries shut well before the last flight!

If anyone wants the NY bit posting for stop overs then just let me know.

So did you have to pay for bags? I've just booked with USAirways and their baggage policy reads as if I don't have to pay since my final destination is in Europe.

No because our bags ended up getting checked all the way through thanks to the woman behind the desk

Yes, that would probably be better.
