Hmm my wardrobe is a bit bare at the moment. My most expensive item has to be my long black boots from duo of bath. They were £175 in 2004 and still going strong although i needed to get them reheeled last year. Well worth the money

Most expensive thing in my wardrobe (clothes wise) is my £150 burton suit. And yes, it was worth it. It's done 3 funerals and several official functions in the 8 months I've had it ;)

I tend to buy lots of cheaper things (that wear out very quickly). Anything expensive in my possession is usully a gift from OH.

I got a pair of Ugg boots a few Christmases ago. I have a Karen Millen dress that I bought second hand off ebay for about £35, but it doesn't fit any more, I'm probably gonna resell when it's dress season.

I have two gorgeous silk Karen Millen tops that my OH got me for Valentines Day (I picked them!) - but even they were only £25 each in the sale.

The most expensive thing I probably bought out of my own money was probably my Whistles top. It's a coral-y salmon colour, and it has the most amazing fit, it gives me a waist and hips even though I have neither. I've only worn it 3 times, as I don't really get the chance to dress up very much but it still makes me sigh every time I open my wardrobe!

Don't get me wrong, I love designer goodies (you should ask my OH, I'm a nightmare to drag out of Selfridges!), but I'm scared I'll be bored of it after a few wears.

Think my most expensive item would be my Dainese bike boots, but so comfy, well worth the money.

In close second place would be a Chloe dress, as seen on Kylie Minogue on some red carpet, unfortunately it didnt have the desired Kylie effect on me... looked like a sack! Was quickly Ebayed! Luckily only lost about £20 :)

Think my most expensive item was a pair of Dubarry Boots (outdoor waterproof leather boots for the country). I got them when they were just new at £200 but they've become a bit neddy and ever so slightly common (without sounding a snob!) Anyway I sold them this year on ebay and I although I sold them for less than I paid they'd have cost about 50p or less per wear. So ok really.

I have just splashed out and bought a Mulberry handbag, it was down to £99 from £375 but I think its too small and I can't really justify it. Should I take it back?
Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time

If you're not going to use it, then yes, take it back. Its not a bargain if it just sits in your wardrobe...
You lied to me Edward. There IS a Swansea. And other places.....

  • My wedding dress!!! :D

£1200, worn only once but worth every single last penny!!! :p

Generally I don't spend big on clothes, and if I want anything really pricey like knee length boots or my full length cashmere and wool coat I have it as a christmas and birthday present.

My Goretex coat is probably the most expensive thing I bought myself after my wedding dress at that was £160 with 50% off!!! Worth every penny because it weighs nothing, packs small enough to carry anywhere and is 100% waterproof. Pays for itself everytime I'm snug and dry in a rainstorm next to people either in sweaty non-breathable kagoules or non waterproof jackets!!!!

Is it a style you might wear again? In which case, get it dyed a different colour. Et voila, instant swanky occasion dress!

Or you could go for the trashing it option (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trash_the_dress)...

I only paid £120 for my wedding dress (it was a very frugal occassion!). But I still love the dress, but I know I'll never wear it again and its full of sequins and stuff, the colour is lovely, not white, more like cream. I've been thinking of turning it into cushion covers... but then again, I'd feel guilty at cutting it off! Maybe it's safe in the loft...
  • Mine isn't white either, more a light champagne. Couldn't cut it up or dye it or sell it.......

I'm a terrible hoarder at the best of times. I have old trainers with holes that I can't bear to throw away........
  • my most expensive thing to date would be my uggs at £170 but worth every penny. have so far done me 2 years and still going and probably wear them about 200 days of the year. will be replacing them this year maybe.

have also bought a couple Karen Millen dresses for £120 and worn them only a couple times
