Thanks for the offer, could you post the link.
I currently have SKY on a basic package but find I hardly use it much other then the normal 5 channels and a couple of documentary channels, so am thinking of either going back to the aerial, my existing one is pretty ancient and sat on a 4 metre pole with amplifier and booster as reception without it is non existent.
Or, i dont know whether the Freesat system would give me a better reception without the monthly costs which Sky have, or what the cost would be to "convert" the current sky dish to freesat with the various boxes required for a three room system?
I currently have a Sony Bravia hd READY TV LINKED TO A SKY+ box, I would like to use the digital or HD side and see a few programmes are HD, so any advice appreciated.
I think we get the Emley Moor transmitter0 -

By cancelling your basic subscription you will de facto be left with a Freesat from Sky set up: the card continues to regionalise your EPG, give you the correct BBC1/ITV1 region and decrypt FIVE, FIVER etc. If this is what you want there is no need to get any equipment. (The only slight note of caution is that the blue viewing cards are being replaced by white ones. As long as you have one of these you should be ok for the next few years.)
If you want a 3 room system simply upgrade your LNB to a quad (ie one with four outputs), run a cable from an output to each room and get 3 secondhand digiboxes from Ebay.RIP independent MSE.
