There's so much crap installed on the dell. I had to use my windows xp sp2 home cd and delete all the partitions and then reinstall it. All clean now!

It's great that it works ... but perhaps it's time to stop posting in this thread unless there are updates to the actual bargain

I am starting to get concerned, mine has been sitting on "1. Order Processing" for the last 2 days. Is this normal or are dell messing around again?

I bought one of those £293 ones, does it have 2 ram slots? i really only need 512mb max, so wheres the cheapest/best place to get either an extra 256 or 512 ram?

thanks in advance and apologies for my laziness in not reading back

Should be fine. Mine spent 6 days at that stage.

Where did you get your customer number from j400? I got an order number, but am unable to track progress without a customer number..
Customer number is on the pdf that you should have had emailed to you. If you don't have it give dell's CS a call.

Mine is out for delivery now! Strange how it went from Ireland to Germany first. :D

Then it arrives in a box saying 'Built in China'.
Never mind a 3 month warranty i think a 12,000 mile one would be more fitting;)
