A few people mention changing their cover to 90-Day Collect and Return service to save money. Any reason for this, i.e. are the 1 year and 3 year options not worth the money?
We don't need the 'training' that comes with the extended warranties but surely there's a warranty beyond 90 days in case of equipment failure? Anybody find a 1 year guarantee in the box with their new laptop?0 -

All Dell branded computers come with a standard 1 year warranty
See Section 7 of Dell's Terms & Conditions
With the 90 day CAR you are agreeing to pay carraige to return your system to DELL if there is a problem with it after the 90 days. I'm not sure about the cost of DELL returning it to you though, anyone had experience of this ?WHOOOOSHHHHHHHHH……..
Blimey what was that ?

Usually after you have bought the PC with 90 day C&R you will have someone ringing you up from Dell to try to sell you a longer warranty. You'll find their prices are substantially cheaper at that stage than they were when you bought the PC online, also you can haggle with them....Thanks to all who post constructively.
Have an A1 day!0 -
