Ordered a laptop on 1st April, came 7th April. It had said estimated date was 10th April.0
-
Doesnt look good if estimated date is 24th then
Do they call to see if the date is convenient?0 -
no they didn't call, and they tried to deliver friday whilst i was at work, left a card saying they'll try to redeliver on 10th monday, but i went to business post depot to pick it up yesterday morning cos i couldn't wait!!!
Dell are very funny about delivery i have found. when i bought one last year i was working in sheffield for 3 months so wanted it delivered up there, but because my CC billing address was for my home, they said they would only deliver it to my house. i had to do a 500mile round trip to pick it up!0 -

Do they? I thought they did, that is why I called dell, hoping to get it cheaper without the dvd writer ,... CS told me that they are already built to a set spec and can not be downgraded
So ... seeing as Kilty and I have the same EDD .... who do ya think is gonna get the goodies firstwanna place a bet anyone
I can say whatever I like here ... 'cos no one can see me .. ner ner ner ner ner !!!....How do you know I ain't sitting here butt naked?!?!I thunk I've made you think for a minute!:j :rotfl: :j0 -

The Dell one has a DVD writer aswell.0 -
just bought a dell laptop via a ebay reseller, it has same spec exept it is 512ddr ram so is better than the one on offer fom dell, I also paid a similar price to the dell offer about £20more but worth it for the extra processing but also get a 1yr guarentee.
Its amazing that companies can bulk buy these and resell them cheaper than dell.
Will be happy to recommend from whom I bought it off, dont know if I should say here or be PM'ed?0 -
