How about you try and get a ticket in the Arsenal end? When you get there, explain there was a mix-up and can you be moved....I used to work at Old Trafford and I remember sometimes fans could be moved for their own safety...unless you can sit quietly in the Arsenal end and not wear Utd colours....

With the exception of the incorrect date, this information is all on the website, and viewable before you have to buy One United membership. It is not a rip off just because you choose not to read all of the relevant information.

With the level of debt Man Yoo have they need all the £30.00's they can get.

Basically it's a big f**k off tombola, the 'winner' earning the right to go to Old Trafford.

Had the OP checked this from the comfort of his armchair in Ashford he would have realised this.

Had he 'won' the next item would have been to find out where Manchester is.

It will be sold out in the Arsenal End make no mistake. The 'mix-up' is a load of bs that will be quickly seen through.

I'm not a Chelsea fan but I love it when they play Man U at Stamford Bridge, they sing to the Man U Fans "You'll be home before we will"

    Classic and sooo very true

You have to love the die hard Home Counties Man U fans...

Dacouch, that's hilarious BUT let me just say....I supported Liverpool FC my whole life, despite living in London...and at the age of 22 I finally moved to Liverpool, so not all Southern fans of Northern footy clubs are cardboard...I even worked at Anfield. :D

Wanted to get tickets to see Man Utd v Arsenal at end of August. The site has been saying for a few weeks that tickets go on sale today.

So I log on to the site to try and purchase 3 tickets. It wouldn't let me without purchasing the membership at £30. So I paid the £30, only to then be told by the website that tickets were not on sale!

I phoned them up to see what the problem was and was told on the phone that the website was wrong, tickets go on sale 4-6 weeks before the fixture, so those tickets wont be on sale for another 3 weeks or so.

I was also told that 1 membership of £30 allows you to apply for 1 ticket only. And you cant simply "purchase" the ticket, you go into a draw and see if your name is picked out of the hat.

How can they justify charging £30 without telling you that you have no chance whatsoever and no guarantees of actually being able to purchase tickets.

As a fan of so many years, you would expect them to treat us all a little better than that. This is the first match we would have ever seen live at the stadium, we have never had the time or money to go to Old Trafford, so this would be our first opportunity to see them other than on a TV screen.

    Very very disappointed. :(

    No rip off there.
If you read ALL the T&C's they are no different to any other TOP Premier League club.

I am a Silver Season ticket holder at the Emirates and its the same.
    1 Membership = 1 Ticket
The reason for this is so all the plastic fans can't get a ticket and sit there eating Prawn Sandwiches for 90 minutes.

They do have General Sale for anyone if the game isn't popular though.
You have to love the die hard Home Counties Man U fans...
When Manure came to the Emirates last year, i swear 95% of their fans walked home :T

The Emirates ticket allocation doesnt work like that.
In some of the scummier grounds (White Hart Lame springs to mind), you can sit where you like.

    Flickering Ember, good on you.

I assume Liverpool (As does Manchester) does not have lots of people walking along the main streets wearing Arsenal and Chelsea shirts like London has loads and loads of Liverpool and Man U fans walking around in their shirts.

Being totally honest, there are some in Liverpool, but most people I see wearing the strip up here acually are wearing the Everton strip. I don't own any football shirts though. Never have done.

Yes but Warehouse would stand no chance of getting such money for their club, not being even closely near to any sort of premiership, nearest to a cup would be a mug of tea for them. As they say up North,,,"Step in Muck, find Good Luck!".

I agree the ticket procedures are outrageous, but still the seats get filled. As Man Utd fanbase is Worldwide and Internationally famous, over and above anything Warehouse could offer. It is inevitable not every fan can get to the club.

Makes me proud of our Manure status :D, seems we can !!!!!! on all the rest!!!!!

You don't understand football whatsoever do you? It would explain the manure fan status at least.

I don't follow my local football team for cups, we've never won one or are ever likely to, I follow them because they are my local team and they represent the town I live in. I have a season ticket there and for the last 2 seasons have seen more losses than wins, but I still go and support them passionately. We get to the odd semi final in the FA and League cup, we get the odd promotion and relegation, and I see more joy in peoples eyes at my team than you ever will winning anything with manure plc.

Your last line is exactly why people hate your type. You're being totally controlled by the plc, they don't give a stuff about you, yet you latch on to them because of some immature period you have yet to grow out of and spout abuse at others about their teams status, yet you'll never be seen at a ground to save your life. I find constantly that supporters of the big clubs were abject failures at anything sports related at school, and this is there only chance of getting one up on their peers who have actually got a life and are comfortable with themselves.

    Grow up.

    OOOOOH,
Sorry I forgot about those lesser teams with a severe lack of a sense of humour,

Quite right, I don't follow football religiously, I support a local team, in a place I was born n bred, I cant help that my local team just happens to be so popular now can I?

The only match I have ever been to, was the Milk Cup with Man Utd & Liverpool some 20 odd years ago, and only then because we sneaked into the match. I am not foolish enough to spend all my hard earned cash on watching a few blokes dance on a field with a round muddy object, you?
