Man Utd Membership - what a rip off

Manure fans who live in the south of the UK are pathetic and deserve to be totally and utterly ripped off, (IMO). My brother in law lives in Watford, supports manure from an armchair and the only time he ever gets to see them is if I arrange a ticket when they happen to play at my local club, which isn't often. After our recent foray into the Premierbore I hope we NEVER get there again, as all the clubs up there want money money money whilst the fans are getting pushed further and further down the list of priorities.
You think the housing market is bad? Wait until it catches up with the Prem, and it will, suddenly the fan will be number one again.
Like the above poster said, support your local club, oh no, they're not on the telly enough are they?
You totally missed my point!
This isnt about going and supporting another club, just because I cant get tickets for the club I love.
I am not just about to stop supporting them just because I feel their ticket procedures are stupid.0 -
I've got to agree with Warehouse, though I find them a bit embarrasing and I feel slightly sorry for them."An arrogant and self-righteous Guardian reading tvv@t".

I agree the ticket procedures are outrageous, but still the seats get filled. As Man Utd fanbase is Worldwide and Internationally famous, over and above anything Warehouse could offer. It is inevitable not every fan can get to the club.
Makes me proud of our Manure status, seems we can !!!!!! on all the rest!!!!!

Glory seekers? Who the hell do you think you are!
If you read the first post, I state that I have supported for a very long time, but have never had the opportunity to go and see them for real.
Posts like yours are best kept to yourself if you haven't got anything constructive to say
DebtHater, you might be offended about being called a glory seeker but the fact is that there are millions of supporters of other clubs who get a laugh out the multitude of 'die hard' Moan U fans who have been supporters for years but never been to a game. When they live in the south of England, and have probably never set foot in Manchester in their lives, we laugh even harder:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.
Regards non league football I watch Colwyn Bay who play in the Unibond League Division 1 (North). You can still, just about, get into a game, buy a programme and a half time coffee and get change from a tenner. You also get to stand a couple of feet from the touchline, rather than sit half a mile away at the back of a huge stand.
If any true football supporters from Manchester are interested the Bay are due to play F.C. United of Manchester in a friendly on 8th August. No membership card is required!

Agreed ... If op is a "long time die hard red" and agreevied by the costs and monopoly of the Glaziers and the like they should get themselves to a FC United game, surronded by proper united fans priced out, they will enjoy a far better atmosphere, good game of football, no diving or prancing by over paid players and contribute something to grassroots football......... And save themselves a fortune in the process!0 -
Times must be hard at Old Trashford. Apparently they're in talks to sign Michael Owen! Should keep the club doctor busy if nothing else. The fridge is empty, the walls are damp, there's no hot water

Like you I go & watch non-league footy - Eastleigh ... Conference South, £10 to get in, stand right next to the pitch, good atmosphere, enjoy the football.

The issue is that they have 60,000 season ticket holders, a 76,000 seater stadium, so by the time you have taken the away support (10% I believe), then there is only about 8,000 tickets available for members.
I suspect that there are over 100,000 members, so you see why they put it in a lottery.

Could be picking up a few Southampton fans soon then.
Since the inception of the premiership in 92/93 season 16 league clubs are or have been have been in administration, currently the same figure are almost insolvent.
Estimates are nearly half the sides in the CCC are sailing very close to the wind, strangely Watford and Derby who have very recently been in the prem are skint.
ALL of the big 4 are carrying monumental debts. Liverpool had a going concern disclosure in their last set of accounts.
A big club will go into administration in the next 12 months."An arrogant and self-righteous Guardian reading tvv@t".

:mad::mad::mad:
Wanted to get tickets to see Man Utd v Arsenal at end of August. The site has been saying for a few weeks that tickets go on sale today.
So I log on to the site to try and purchase 3 tickets. It wouldn't let me without purchasing the membership at £30. So I paid the £30, only to then be told by the website that tickets were not on sale!
I phoned them up to see what the problem was and was told on the phone that the website was wrong, tickets go on sale 4-6 weeks before the fixture, so those tickets wont be on sale for another 3 weeks or so.
I was also told that 1 membership of £30 allows you to apply for 1 ticket only. And you cant simply "purchase" the ticket, you go into a draw and see if your name is picked out of the hat.
How can they justify charging £30 without telling you that you have no chance whatsoever and no guarantees of actually being able to purchase tickets.
As a fan of so many years, you would expect them to treat us all a little better than that. This is the first match we would have ever seen live at the stadium, we have never had the time or money to go to Old Trafford, so this would be our first opportunity to see them other than on a TV screen.
Very very disappointed.
With the exception of the incorrect date, this information is all on the website, and viewable before you have to buy One United membership. It is not a rip off just because you choose not to read all of the relevant information.Gone ... or have I?0
