Thank you for visiting me when I have not visited other diaries for a while now! I will do so..
So, two v good things have happened this week. Care for Carers have contacted me, dd is officially invited to their next social gathering at the end of March. There will be other primary school age children there so I really do hope she will find it fab. I certainly felt elated when I got off the phone, and thanked god as I drove round working! Surely we will be ok, we are ok. Its all going to be just great. Secondly, getting a bit confused by my parents, but they have offered to pay to replace the lino in my kitchen which is sellotaped together where there are holes etc! Of course, I am v grateful, and have said thank you and that will be lovely and dd and I are going to the "lino" shop today to choose. My kitchen is v tiny, but I adore it and it will be good not to trip up on the said sellotaped areas anymore which I have been prone to do from time to time. You can't avoid them you see being the room is small. Anyway, it will be v nice when done. Otherwise, got a nice weekend with dd to enjoy and just staying positive as poss re the finances. All v tight and really getting to grips with the fact that every penny counts literally. To the point that I usually buy my loo roll from Iceland as its £1 for 4. Each loo roll has 150 sheets to it. Have since discovered Waitrose essential range sell their packs of 4 for 98p, and they have 240 sheets to them. No competition!!! You have to laugh, but that 2p, those extra 360 sheets could free up pennies to go towards more petrol or anything! Am actually enjoying the new state of thinking like this!My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)
May 2013 £124,080.27= £37,903.50 paid off WOW!!!!! Well done! There is a guardian angel out there! :AI'm visualising success, debt freeness, and happy days!:T0 -

Just been sitting here getting organised for the week. A lot to do, and a lot to work around. But also v exciting with orders stacking up to get processed, bills to meet - and successfully pay, items to sell at auction, via jewellers and ebay, car having its service on weds and dd having dental appointment, also have parents evening appt. Just going to prepare supper and then relax, ironing later. Thinking about doing some tapestry which I haven't touched for a while, get back to basics regarding enjoying the simple pleasures of life that I find fulfilling otherwise the weekend fills up with paperwork, writing to do lists, and chores and min quality time with dd who is currently outside playing in the rain. Best get her in!.... All is well and all will be well, a day at a time this week!My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)

Sorry to hear that things still look so tight with the budgets PAF. The lino sounds dire, is that why you've been falling recently? Lovely of your parents to help but I hope you don't have to "pay" for it with them telling you that you can't cope again!
I buy the Iceland loo roll and really rate it as it's 3 ply whereas many of the more expensive varieties are only 2 ply. I'll investigate the Waitrose one though. I agree with the pennies thought though, if it's a penny you don't need to spend it's still there for debt busting, saving or spending on something else.CCs @0% £24k Dec 05 £19,621.41 Au £13400 S 12600 Oct £11,981 £9481 £7500 Nov £7250 D £7100 Jan 6950 F £5800 Mar£5400 May £4830 June £4660 July £4460 Aug £3200, S £900, £0 18/9/07 DFW Nerd 0420 -

I think the Waitrose loo roll must have been on special offer, half price when my friend bought it as I went into Waitrose to buy some, and it was £1.98. So, out I went, over to Iceland and to my good reliable friends. £1 for 4!!
Well, I am indeed blessed for a friend lent me £20 yesterday so I could submit my order to ensure I secured a higher bonus from my sales. I was able to give her the £20 in cash, it was just after 5pm so I couldn't pay it into the bank and pay Kl by debit card. So, so kind of her. Then today I was putting petrol in, completely forgot about the limit I had set for what I could afford until Mon and went over by 23p. This lady in the front of the queue had heard me saying oh no as I realised what I had done at the petrol pump and heard me say I didn't have the 23 p until Mon and she gave it to me. I dont know her, she vanished before I could say thank you properly. So, I have in fact 6p to my name in my bank account and no cash. The reason is a v positive one because I put through my Kl account in just 1 day over £700 of orders and I have yet more to place next week. I haven't totted it up exactly but it must exceed £700. Cashflow could be better but has been hampered by the fact that a credit I paid into my Kl acc on the 10th has gone missing, and they wont chase it until 5 working days have passed just incase it turns up and I have to send them proof I paid it in. All a bit of a palava but Im hopeful they will sort it out by next week. But anyway, I am in a strong position at the start of this next 4 weeks sales period to secure an excellent bonus by the end of it which needs to happen with 4 bank holidays looming in April, one weekend after the other. Ok if you are employed, a bit of a nightmare when you are self employed! So, its keeping my head down and working, staying positive and giving Kl, ebay, auction sales, everything I can do to get ahead, giving it my all.My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)

Well been taking stock of my debt busting to date and my journey is like this:
2009. Light bulb moment. Realise relying too much on credit cards. Start finding ways to cut down.
2010Cut down and no longer relying on credit cards anywhere near the high level as previously. Required 3 months mortgage repayment hols to keep above water though.
2011 No more credit cards. Managing just to keep within budgets and without any repayment hols on mortgage. Slowly but surely getting it together and things are in place for further progress to be made...
PLAN: 2011/2012. Keep as I am and utilise every way in which to get ahead of myself, and start paying more than the min payt on cr card debt. Doing this by: my Kl bus, ebaying, using local auctioneers to sell higher value items. Saving petrol by walking more - could back fire if I tire more and fall over more but am taking the view that the weather is getting milder and I will surely be doing myself a lot of good by keeping as active as poss. And my bank bal in the process. Its a risk Im prepared to take. If I fall over more then I will need to review this strategy.
Next 2 weeks is going to be tight. The missing credit doesn't help matters, but I am confident that the 8 payts due in the next 2 weeks will be met and on time. On that note, its a lovely day here. Have spent it so far getting my ebay done, catching up with paperwork, supporting dd in her homework bits. I didn't get homework at 8 years of age. Im staggered by how much she has to do. She has had spellings, reading, to write a story and her weekly homework as well. Yes, we could do some in the week, but she is then at after school club, or granny's and after I collect her from there, there is supper , getting ready for bed etc and often we are both ready to sleep as soon as supper eaten!!!!Then the one day I collect her at 3pm from school I most certainly do not want to be doing homework then. We do want some free, fun time together! So, that leaves the weekends to do it all although the reading is a daily thing, the rest is weekly. Keep thinking in light of Japan and the areas highlighted on Comic relief we need to be grateful for our education system etc, still would rather dd didn't have so much to do each week!!!
So, just about to go in the garden and mow the lawn. The grass really needs a good cut. I may just end up sitting outside but if I dont do it today, then it will be another couple of weeks before I can. I do enjoy it I just have to get myself ready to do it as it takes me for what feels like forever. Dd is now playing outside. Have a nice homemade beef stew ready for later with dumplings! (naughty but nice!).
Also, I have ironing to do later, have my weekly to do list ready , and all systems go for a v proactive and hopefully financially productive week.My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)
