bails, you're lovely; I don't think I have ever heard you sound so happy (I have a spare pregnancy test if you need it. I started 'nesting' well before I knew I was pregnant).
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

I took my granddaughter to Oxford with me on Saturday. She was very good all weekend. BF was brilliant with her. I took her to the sailing club, to watch him sailing. She liked the ducks that were there, and fed most of her muffin to them. In the evening she went to sleep at 7.30 and woke again at 7.30 in the morning! Brilliant. We took her to a gardencentre/farm on Sunday, and show her the animals. She got to stroke Bulls!!!, goats, sheep, ponies but she wanted the swings and the ducks the most.
I dropped her back at her mum and her BF at 6ish last night. But gosh I am aching today, from lifting her, even though BF did more carrying/lifting then I did. I have taken all of my medication and waiting to be able to take the next lot.
I am still sitting in the sitting room, in my dressing gown, and I can hardly move!!
Luckily I havent really got to do much today.
Twin2 rang me as its her BF's Birthday, and she wanted me to do something for them, with them. But they have run out of money, and I am a bit cynical that they expect me to pay for them to go out to a pub or something.
I have told her that I am not well enough to go this morning anyway. I did of course send him a happy birthday text. (If she had told me earlier that it was his birthday I would have sorted out a card and possibly a present, but as I am not made of money I cant today). I did say I will make it up to him another time, and buy him a drink etc. Feel very mean, but I hardly know him really.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

Mooloo - just wanted to say I'm proud of you standing your ground on the birthday issue :T I'd have been thinking exactly the same if DD let slip she was/they were skint ;)

We would like to take down the (broken) arch we have through to the bottom part of our garden and replace it with a willow one next year :T Could I plant willow Nyk and train it into an arch? :confused:How long would that take if it's possible? Perhaps I could pop up to Frugaldom next year and get some, to extend the Frugaldom connection? :D

Ooh, now that's the start of a plan that I like and there's a lovely little holiday cottage not far from us that's owned by a fellow LETS member. :D Willow is really easy to grow and it grows really quickly. I am hoping that my arch will be covered by next year. You just push the sticks in the grownd and they grow. Must get photographs to update my willow page of site and show off the arch. :)

SF, has your burn healed alright? You'll need to watch and not get sunburned on holiday, too. Factor 50 is great stuff! :D

BB, good work getting those shelves done although I had to have a little giggle - there musy be a language difference because up here, 'winch' means same as snog. :rotfl:I was thinking that your OH must be finding the room very friendly, indeed!:rotfl:

Mooloo, hope you're feeling fit again soon and don't worry about missing your DD's bf's birthday. I mean, I forgot to send a card for my SIL2b's birthday and the wedding is in 9 weeks! :o:rotfl:

HS is becoming truly frugalised at last! He set off for post office with today's work and returned with screw cap glass bottles so I could get the elderflower champagne bottled up today! :T:j He even brought them home in a crate! He'd only gone and asked the PO if he could have some of their empties and left the 20p deposit for each so we get it back when the bottles are returned. I'll make an OH of him yet! :rotfl:

:rotfl::rotfl:I should have written wince Nyk, but I have now learnt a new word I shall shortly be introducing at random into our lifestyle:D.

Ooh, get me: ready to share Lynne's glory: for the last 4 months the washing machine has needed a good thump on the door before it starts. I found out this was coz the door lock mechanism needed replacing, so I sourced a 2nd hand part from a back street business for £10 and have just fitted it myself, saving a £40 call out charge:A. Took ages to work out how to get the door rubber seal of to access the part but a quick ring to the part supplier and he was happy to give me a hint.:j

Whitewing - I'm having hilarious visions of bails giving birth in a yurt in Nepal (sorry bails:D):rotfl:

Edit: mooloo - big well done from me too for standing firm.

    Just a quickie

Skint lynne - are you sure your dryer is actually broke ? Most have an overheat facility whereby a switch at the back of the machine pops out to protect the thermostat , then once it cools down it will let you push the switch back in .............mine is like a plastic button about the size of a 50p on the bottom at the back

Sorry if you already knew and tried this

    Shaz

    Hi Shaz,

I had no idea about that, thanks a lot, my machine does not seem to have one, but I'll dig the instructions out in case it is in another place. I've learned something new today now.:D

Well done BB, I'm glad my DIY ing is rubbing off on you, it's great to know you can do things for yourself instead of paying through the nose for it. I'd better get some work done, speak later. xx

    mmm, still feeling guilty though!!!:o
I will see them tomorrow, as I did say I would take them to Banbury for thier Crisis loan (again??), and then to the council with the various important documents that the council must have or she wont get her benefits!
I honestly am very sore and can hardly walk today. My left side is not very good at all. Think I better go and heat some of my heat pads and get them working.! Watching Daily cooks challenge. the 50p challenge today.:rotfl:

It hasn't healed that well :( I've finally got the bandage off, but it doesn't look great to be honest. Its quite a dark colour, and the scar tissue is tough and horrible. hopefully it'll heal better over time. and I've got some factor 50! :) I burnt in the sun anyway, so I'm going well prepared :) xx
