i hope this is not a serious post.

we have just ordered the game for our daughter who is nearly 12, we only agreed after getting mr divadees best friend to tell us excatly what is in the game and what options you can turn off etc...

every child is different, playing one game does not turn kids violent. i can remember seeing a lot worse at 12 when i was young.

i think it is down to parental choice you know what your children can cope with end of. we have made the informed choice of allowing her to have the game but she is very sensible and mature for her age. there are friends of hers that would not be able to cope with what they are seeing so i would not get it for them if they were my child.

Totally agree, you dont have to justify yourself. I remember watching the running man when i was about 8, it was great. Im not a serial killer or anything.
    Waddle you do eh?

I'm not letting my 12 year old play it. Not because of the violence, but because I don't want him to show me up lol. It's taken me 2 days to get as far as the airport. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Teenager acted as film director during attack
A 13-year-old boy acted as "director" and filmed two teenage girls as they stripped and tortured a 14-year-old in scenes he described as resembling video game Resident Evil.

    Published: 4:09PM GMT 16 Nov 2009
The trio punched and kicked their victim and hit her with stiletto heels during the 45-minute assault in an underground car park.
All three were ordered to be detained for four years, followed by a further five years of supervision.
At the High Court in Edinburgh yesterday, Lord Malcolm told the teenagers, who cannot be named for legal reasons, that their "uncontrolled cruelty" had put their victim's life in danger.
He added: "No words of mine can adequately describe her ordeal and the harm it has caused.
"Much could and no doubt will be said about how and why this happened and an anguished society's response to it. Whatever else, it is plain that the dis-inhibiting effect of the huge quantities of alcohol consumed by all of you played a significant part."
The court heard that background reports on the trio revealed factors including a "chaotic, abusive and violent home life", involvement in gang culture, underage drinking and "disengagement from education"
The judge said he had taken into account the fact that they were children, but a custodial sentence was necessary because of their "depravity".
The trio had earlier admitted attacking their victim in the car park at the Omni Centre in Edinburgh on January 23 this year.
The victim's older sister welcomed the sentences, saying her family was "ecstatic" and her sister was "really pleased", adding: "It was better than we expected."
The girl, now 15, spent six days in hospital and suffered flashbacks in the wake of the incident.
A doctor said her injuries revealed a sustained and vicious assault, with puncture marks on her head consistent with being struck by stiletto heels.
Alex Prentice QC, prosecuting, said the victim was "repeatedly kicked and punched to her head and body, slapped, spat on, struck with high heels, stripped naked and struck with metal signs".
The incident started when one of the girls accused the 14-year-old, who was with the group before the attack, of making threats against her and began punching and kicking her.
The boy got his phone out to record the attack and the victim had her trousers removed.
The boy urged the other girls to "get her naked" and "get her top off" and at one point said: "It's only been five minutes of torture."
All three took turns kicking the girl's head "as if it were a football". He then told them to "get the heels oot" and they beat the victim with their stilettos.
At one point the video footage showed the naked teenager slumped against a wall and covered in blood while the boy said: "It's like Resident Evil".
A security guard found her coming out of the car park, saying: "I need help".

Hang your heads in shame. I surely hope you are under the observations of social services.
  • Many thanks, this thread has helped me understand why this country has a nation of violent, badly behaved youngsters.

Probably the same parents that let little Jonny have a beer 'cause it does him no harm'
