Don't get too overwhelmed as that equates to £8.52. Be sure to see just how much time & effort will be required and make it worth your while.

A fair point. I'd appreciate some words of advice from old hands at this.

Living in a location with only a couple of post boxes within easy reach (and no post office), I'm wondering whether it's going to be possible just to use those two - or do they expect you to travel to other post boxes (and post offices)?

If that's the case, it looks rather less than worthwhile.

Anyone have a rough idea of how much time it all takes up every month? :)

On my schedule for each week they always ask for letters to be posted from post boxes and post offices which have to be in my area. So if you don't have a post office in your area so I can't see them asking for you to post in another area.

Some weeks you do have a few letters to post over so many days and they like you to do different times so it is difficult if you work a lot or have a busy life.

Where do I post my test items?

If you take part in the survey from home, you should post your items in a Post Box anywhere within your postcode area. This is any Post Box with a Post Box ID that begins with the first letter(s) of your postcode. Remember, if this is your first time using a specific Post Box, you must take note of the Post Box ID and enter it onto our system.

Your posting plan will instruct you whether the item should be posted in a Post Box or at a Post Office. If the plan instructs you to post in a Post Office, the Post Box outside the Post Office is acceptable and, in fact, preferable.

Taken from the FAQ's on the site.

Very few people don't have a post office within the first half of their post code, so it is possible they may ask you to post at a post office, but having said that, you are asked to register the posting points available when you start using the site, so if you don't register a post office presumably they won't ask you to post at one?:)

  • While they ask you to post at certain times of day a lot of post boxes are only emptied once at the end of the day. I soon learnt this is what happens at my local one so now know not to worry about the times I put the items into the box. They only ever ask if it was posted before or after the last collection time anyway!

The same goes for which places you post the test items, they ask you which box you put them in and so far have never complained if I've used "the wrong kind of box" for example a roadside one instead of one outside a Post Office.

I have a friend who would like to join up but she goes to work full time so never in when post arrives. Is anyone else in this position and are they ok about it if you always put time unknown?
  • I received my acceptance email from today :)
