    but still timing out.

Are you with VirginMedia by any chance?

I'm just discovering it's not just Research International that's slow/not working, half the internet isn't actually working for me ! Many sites I use are fine (e.g. MSE), but with no apparent logic many that I'm trying to visit just won't load (including the Royal Mail surveys).

I've just found Virgin's problem page give the message below so I'm guessing my issue getting on may be Virgin's fault, not Research International's.

Perhaps if other people can get on it ok, then your problem could be something similar

Service Disruption: intermittent connection issues on your broadband internet service
Reported on: Sun 16 Oct 2011, 09:20 PM
Estimated fix time: Tue 18 Oct 2011, 08:19 AM

I assume you have received your weekly envelope with the schedule and contents that need to be p[repared for posting next week.

If so, you need to log in and go to Daily tasks, then "view posting plan". Here it will usually show you the same details as on your paper schedule so that you can prepare next weeks postings. As soon as you have posted each item you need to enter the posting information on the same page.

Did you not do this for the letters you posted this week?

theres a section that says enter recieved items

That section is for when you receive test items from other panellists (which won't be just yet if you only just started). You'll get an email telling you about receiving items from them in due course, along the lines of:

Thank you for sending the test letters and for completing your survey tasks so far. You will shortly begin to receive test letters as well.

These are items that have been sent by other panellists like you, and through their date of posting information and your date of receipt information we can calculate how quickly Royal Mail are delivering items to and from every part of the Country.

To enter this information on the internet site please click on the link "Enter Received Items" and follow the steps. ....

Do you have a section that says receipt of pack? If so, click that and enter the pack ID - it should be in the top right hand corner of your posting plan.

The ones you receive with the posting schedule are not entered as received items.

You will probably find that when you receive mail like posting packs or SMARTS to be used (you'll learn about those later I expect) the envelope will be addressed to you either without your initial (just title and family name) or with your first name in full rather than an initial.

It is test mail with your title, initial and family name which you will enter as "received".
  • Newbie here again and helpline is closed. Ive just recieved my 1st smarts to post next week and schedule lists days to post but not time or type of postbox does this mean anytime and any post box ?
