I just read that aswell  I'm settled into a really good routine now and the stamps have come in handy for starting up postal comps, I can't afford to do those if I'm not getting my freebie stamps. I hope I don't get kicked off :o we are regularly getting things through quite late compared to the postmarks so hopefully they'll still need me.

We'll all be on tenterhooks now..........

Thanks for highlighting that new information Lannyloo. I suppose it makes sense that as they receive lots of data from one area they will need to check out another one assuming there is only a limited budget for the work.

It is such an easy routine to post and record the letters and really easy way of having a stock of stamps. I am due to do a misdelivery soon and if dumped will miss those regular £6 vouchers.

Let's hope not too many receive the dreaded e-mail.

    world mail panel

I have recently been doing a postal survey type thing.. what i have to do is this company sends me 8 stamped addressed envelopes, which contain 1 tracker or transponder in each envelope to be posted at the dates and times stated on the paperwork. I post these monday tuesday thursday and friday i send these to singapore, thailand, usa, ireland, all over the world , and this will be ongoing for 6 months. It is to monitor the quality / speed of the mail services around the world. I have recommended this to friends so I think anyone can join. This research company pays me £15 a month into my paypal, but you can have gift vouchers if you want instead of paypal. (it is a lot better than the royal mail postal surveys for 18 stamps!) ;)

    Potential Changes to our Panel

We wish to make you aware that in order to fulfil our responsibilities as the independent monitor of Royal Mail's Quality of Service, we will be required to change our panel to make sure we are providing an accurate measure across all of the UK. During the course of the year, we will have to set the status of some of our panellists from Active to Reserve and invite Reserve panellists in other areas of the UK back onto our Active panel. In either case, we will contact you to let you know if you are affected.

Does this affect all postal surveys?
This change will only affect panellists' participation on the standard Stamped and Metered Letter surveys.

    Have I done something wrong?
No. You have been a superb panellist, and we have valued all that you have done for the survey. If your status does change (and it might not), it is simply because we have too many panellists in one area of the UK and not enough in another.

Will you ever need me again?
We wish to reassure panellists that should we require to set your status to Reserve this does not mean that we will not require your services in the future.

    Yes, seen that this morning

I received an e-mail asking me to confirm arrival date of a magazine. Tried to use reply facility but on 2 tries the message bounced back. Anyone else having this problem, just alter the reply e-mail address to the usual postalsurvey one and it accepts it.
Had to phone to check situation with the helpful Joanne and had to laugh as their recorded message said "we are closed until January 5 2009"! Another little glitch they are trying to sort out.

How many letters are you all now having to post? For the last 3 weeks, I have only had to post one item - not complaining but wonder if this might be the prelude to being dumped.

I am doing a misdelivery starting next week so that is another £6 vouchers. Yippee!
