  • Has anyone else had this, someone sent me a test item today and put all over the back of it date to post, time to send, send it from a post box and add a smart, she has now kindly told the sorting office and the postman what I do, she also did my address wrong and put the label in the wrong place.

Unfortunately, due to a high volume of responses, we are not recruiting to the monitor at this time.

  • Hello, when posting items do you have to put in a postbox within your home postcode? I was hoping to post items whilst at work but am unsure if this is ok?
  • From the FAQ on the site, which answers most questions:

If you take part in the survey from home, you should post your items in a Post Box anywhere within your postcode area. This is any Post Box with a Post Box ID that begins with the first letter(s) of your postcode. Remember, if this is your first time using a specific Post Box, you must take note of the Post Box ID and enter it onto our system.

Your posting plan will instruct you whether the item should be posted in a Post Box or at a Post Office. If the plan instructs you to post in a Post Office, the Post Box outside the Post Office is acceptable and, in fact, preferable.

If you take part in the survey as a Business panellist using a meter franking machine, you should post test items by the usual posting method of your workplace. This could be a collection from Royal Mail or by posting into a special Post Box designed for meter franked items.

I had one yesterday, but the time, date and post box was on the front of the envelope - the thing is I'm worrried if I say anything that I could lose my place on the panel through no fault of my own....... surely people should have a better system

I do my post up once a week, then put them back in the brown envelope, and write everything I need to on the front, xx

Some people people put post-it notes on the envelopes with the details to remind them when to post. How do I know this? I got a delivery this week with the post-it still on:eek:
If anyone here uses purple post-its, please try to remember to take them off next time.
Come on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.
  • I just use the sheet that comes with the packs to tell me when to post, dont have to put anything on the envelopes at all then:)

I know what you mean, but if your cover is blown, it is blown, regardless of whose fault it is. And once you become known as a survey member then your feedback (ie deliveries) is tainted and therefore useless. What is worse, is that even if they decided to track down the person that effectively shopped you (which would be easy) their feedback is still relevant as their cover hasn't been blown, so they'd probably just say "Please stop writing on the envelopes" and take no other action.
I do wish people wouldn't write on the envelopes - I'm happy to accept that the purple post-it incident I mentioned earlier was an accident by the way. Sometimes it is quite cryptic but often it is obvious especially as the new SMARTs are still easily detectable through the envelope once you know what they are (My postman probably thinks I've started collecting mini mouse mats all of a sudden) but add that to posting details written on the envelope then it becomes completely obvious. If someone must write it on the envelope, why not write it under the flap and only seal it just before posting?
