Oh but I am seething! I get mail every day, can't remember the last time I didn't get any...until last Saturday and again yesterday. Hmmmm strange thought I, so I rang my local delivery office only to be told that they had set up a new system, the postman hadn't had time to deliver to our street before his day finished, so all mail was taken back to the delivery office. They can't say  when we might get mail again, but "will have a look and see what they can do" (said as if doing me a favour.)
I am so glad I am part of this panel, I just hope I have loads of test mail being held up so that RI see just how long some of the mail is taking to get through to me.Surely they can't do this?
I've had something similar (though didn't bother ringing the office, the postman told me) they have such tight targets that if they get held up somewhere, they either have to finish in their own time or lose out. I live in a very rural area and it only takes a few extra minutes when cows are crossing that can throw the whole morning out, it doesn't see fair on the actual postmen/women at all. Beside the weather, I don't get post when the van has broken down, or the regular postie is on leave for a day or two. But other than the survey items, nothing else is normally that urgent, though I work from home and there's usually loads for me..
Doing this survey certainly highlights some things though doesn't it, like I never realised how many letters come without postmarks or anything. Maybe with the new style stamps they don't feel they need to postmark any more to stop people reusing the stamps.

I have a lot of sympathy for the average, hard working postman. It seems to me that every few months rounds are extended and staff numbers are cut and while I complain about the amount of junk (unaddressed) mail they deliver these days: I'm not the one that has to carry a sack full of it around with me every day.
The management appear to be pushing harder and harder, literally trying to reach breaking point as it obviously has on your route. Sometimes I think postmen are fools to themselves - I once found mine delivering letters on a Sunday, I asked him why and he said because it had snowed that week he hadn't been able to get round everywhere. I think he should have let the system fail (obviously after delivering my letters) because his hard work is hiding a problem not of his making.
Maybe I'm lucky with my postman and I do live near a sorting office but, touch wood, I've always been happy with the "on the ground" service. I know some on this panel joined initially because they felt they were getting a poor service that needed to be highlighted; I joined because I thought I was getting a very good service that also needed to be highlighted!
SPCome on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.0 -
Can I just ask to those people that were let go (like myself which i understood), are you still getting recruited for misdelivery/correctly delivered surveys? Because I still seem to be (not that im complaining lol), but it's just quite surprising as I thought once they let you go, that was it.0

I am - in fact am currently on my second one since I was 'let go' at the end of the summer. However my email didn't say I was on reserve, just thank you for your time and goodbye so I wasn't expecting it and I don't know whether to expect to be back on the panel at some point.
Still it's nice to get the shopping vouchers, am hoping the ones for this survey turn up before Christmas.0 -
My stamps arrived today on their own as I am away next week, so no post to do.
Also just signed up for another misdelivery - the easiest £6 I earn as I cannot remember the last time I had a misdelivery!0 -
can someone plz help - I remember being on the panel for sometime last year and then I got busy with work so had to pull out. Now I can still access the system and my user area - how should I re-start the service again.0

How annoying is this, I just finished a correctly delivered survey on Saturday with no mis-delivered items to log, come Monday I got a mis-delivered item for someone round the corner and on Wednesday got another item that was mis-delivered again for the same person, this happens quite a lot, I get their mail and they get mine, luckily that family are as honest as the day is long.
Rant over, I thought I would just share that with you.:)Like good food and drink?
Try Hotel Chocolat and Baileys.
