Yesterday I had an email asking me to reply and place a cross in a box if I had posted outside my area. This is the 3rd email like this I have received in the past few weeks but I have NEVER used any postbox other than the 4 on my list and they are all very close to my home. Has anyone else had this happen and why would they think I had been posting mail from outside my area in the first place? Am very mystified!
I have never had that query. Sounds as though your letters have not been franked at your local office which of course would show up when received.
Wonder if someone is reposting them elsewhere outside your area?
Perhaps whoever is emptying the boxes is not going back to the sorting office!
Will be interesting to see if anyone else has had same query.0 -

I was only thinking yesterday that it was quiet on here and thought tonight I would put something on just for the heck of it - BUT then I come on and see 'there's trouble at mill' !!! :rotfl:
Wonder if you could all be in roughly same area? Bit weird isn't it.
Hope there is some feedback to you with an answer to it.0 -
I just had a query that my letter was apparently postmarked several days later than I said I posted it? Is this a common problem?Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0

Yes, just check that you had entered the date and time you posted correctly and hit the confirm if you did:D"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138

I've had this one about 6 times now. I have NEVER posted outside my area. It is, slightly, insulting of the Survey team to word their query like they do. They make it sound as if we, their volunteers, have posted outside our area (which is BIG - a whole postcode area relating to the first letters of the specific postcode, not just my/your town) and that then we have lied about it - entering the posting data as if within our area. Why would we do that?
I assume that if there is a problem it is at the RM end - someone is emptying the boxes and taking the mail to the 'wrong' sorting office. This is, I assume, exactly the sort of anomaly the Survey team are looking out for. But instead of taking the data (we) entered as correct and seeing it as an RM problem, they send a us a badly-worded circular saying is it possible we got it wrong and lied about it! Checking up is fine - but they could word it a lot better, giving us, the volunteers following their instructions, the benefit of the doubt.0
