    Only if you have an actual Newcastle web-based account as well as this one. And it only allows you to see the balance, not transfers etc. (which is all you need really).

    you can , but you have to take out a "normal" savings or cheque account, i have a $1 in it, i like it because i can see the interest at the end of every month ..

    which account is that then? The only one I can find is this which requires a minimum £250 balance: http://www.newcastle.co.uk:80/savings/newcastlenet

    When I opened a Newcastle 5 year bond in July last year, there was an account called Newcastle BS Online Saver Account. You could open this one with just £1. This is still paying 2%.
    Unfortunately, this account is no longer available to open.

    did i break the law or something re posting in a 1 year old thread :mad:

    yup you needed to have had opened a web saver and stick a £1 in it in order to view the 5 year 5% bond.
