The board is pretty much dead, you have probably about 10 regular posters who basically post the same arguments from either side of the fence, it's a bit like going to the pub and chatting with your mates, except without the beer. Which I think is exactly what Martin wanted. Its pretty much becoming a website of hugz for mugz and 2 for 1 pizza offers.
Maybe because we are currently void of real news... Interesting piece on Reuters yesterday. At some point, the process must come to an end, as more and more voters realise the truth – that neither they, nor the Government can go on borrowing indefinitely. The game is over when, either the segment of the electorate still in denial has dwindled into insignificance,

Joeskepp is one of chucky's socks. The only difference being is that he presents an even dumber persona, if that's at all possible. :rotfl:Who do you specify as morons ?, it kinda gets depressing when the level of debate comes down to this, you think you stand on a 'higher step' at the moment because you own while others don't, poking fun at 'morons', it's not good form, the karma always gets you in the end.
I've also noticed that you joined in April 2007, yet have only started posting here since the bull run started a few months ago, where were you last year ? when prices were falling off a cliff, at least the likes of chucky, Dan, ISTL, mitchaa come along when things aren't going so well, I expect the likes of yourself to disappear when the indices again turn negative.Krusty & Phil Madoff, 1990 - 2007:

Seriously guys (bears) you should have listened to my wisdom 6mths ago
Good job I didn't, in my area I would have been £10500 lighter just in price falls, nevermind the savings I've put aside on top of that.;)And for the last paragrapgh, dry your eyes, I started posting in the mortgages section when my fixed deal was coming to an end
I think PN hit you with a good one a few weeks ago............ 'So you had to borrow...shame.':D0 -

I don't think chucky has any sockies, I don't see his posting style in anyone else, although I think him and Dan are good mates of some kind. Skeppi's posting style is nothing like chucky's, I could say more, but I'll leave it there, I think I've already made my point on the subject.0 -
The most relevant part of the article seems to be the last part:
"But not all measures of house prices are pointing in the same direction.
Although the rival survey from the Halifax has also detected a recent upturn in prices, more comprehensive figures from the Land Registry for England and Wales reported that prices had still fallen in May, by 0.2%. This meant the annual rate at which prices had dropped was 15.9%."0 -

do you think that could have anything to do with the few months lag in data that the LR figures have?
if we go by your logic we will have LR positive for a good few months going forward and the figures will will be in summer - you can't call it a spring bounce then

*bathes in newfound virtua-wealth*
(A) I think by the end of the year we'll be at 0% YOY, IE we'll see drops in the winter and cries of (B)"olololol bulltrap" from the morons, despite the YoY result being no change and no one actually getting trapped, and then next summer the cycle will repeat.
(A) Good luck with that.
(B) OK mate. If you say so. Personally if it comes to this i will be pumping my £65k deposit into a nice, cheap, post crash home. No doubt rates will still be 0.5% so add a nice, long, cheap fixed rate loan onto that as it sure as hell wont keep prices high if rates go up. Win win either way? Me thinks so.
