  • I was looking at a BA flight to Texas last week on BA's website, this week they are £100 cheaper for 2 passengers. Glad I hadn't already booked. Travelsupermarket are showing £200 more expensive though!

    Hi,

I've travelled BC with BA a few times .... amazing long haul .... wish I'd seen that sale recently.

Anyway I've managed to book Cathay Pacific ... for £2k, which is an amazing figure for BC to Auckland.

    Thank you all

I think I will risk booking and hope I get the seats I want before we go. It is saving me £600. I have been watching the prices for about 3 months now. Shame Virgin can't offer a similar deal though, I could book my seats then.:T

Same experience here too. I was looking to buy flights to Miami for next April and I am glad I waited as they went down about £100 pp in the last week and BA are now much cheaper than anyone else. Have grabbed them while they are at a price I am happy to pay, and am very pleased as BA have already allocated us bulkhead seats as we are travelling with an infant. It now seems cheaper to book with BA than go through and agent (which wasn't always the case in the past), as none of the agents could match the price for the flight times we wanted. Nine months and counting....:j

Sadly we wont all be in the same boat, silver and gold can book seats at time of booking, blue can't and as there are fewer premium seats and only a few of the type I want, it will spoint the "specialness" of it if I can get the seats I want now. Oh well, never mind. I will have to pay more and go with Virgin!

Virgin dont guarantee seats either, you just select a preference.

BA have had the seating policy for a while, there is no way around it but you should get good availability at T-24 through On Line Check In. If you want to check what seats are already booked check Expertflyer.com

First ever post...lol So any help really appreciated. I am looking for an inexpensive flight to Boston, or Bangor NE states area. Looking to go ASAP, They all drop to around £300-£350 during Sept, but ideally would like to go sooner. Preferably flying from Manchester. Thanks
