Yes I sold mine for £240, got paid by paypal and the buyer was highly pleased with it, I think if you put it on a buy now for £250 or so it will go pretty quick!
I must admit im quite surprised to hear of somebody being paidmy worry is that the buyer will do a chargeback through Paypal, stating item not as described and send a normal 20p back. Whats the chances?
Sorry to sound so negative, just im in two minds what to do with my mine and everything about them on ebay just seems dodgy to me and I dont want to be stung
You only need look at all the dodgy sellers trying to rip people off to know there are also loads of dodgy buyers after scamming you!! I love my gorgeous little girl0 -

Funny, I had that exact same thought! I've always been perhaps too cautious for my own good sometimes, but i'd much rather be like that than screwed over. Hey, that's just me though ...
Saying that, there is a ton of honest buyers out there, so if you really want to make a good profit on it just risk it and put it on - if you send to a confirmed paypal address sellers have paypal protection too etc...
Good luck in your decision whatever you do hun

If I was you, I would ask the news paper if they would do another report on your daughter handing over the coin to the winner but thats if the news paper would do that then you have proof that you are handing over the real thing and the bidder cant say anything else and it will be a bigger report (even more famous).
Me myself I dont know if I can trust the other end at the moment like I said they might say that they have not recieved the real thing.0 -

Glad its not just me and I think it pays to be cautious.
No offence to anyone on here, but I think the majority of sellers with the genuine 20p's are either really greedy or really desperate for the money......sorry but I think its all gonna end in tears
I do hope im wrong as I found a real 20p in my daughers piggy bank and would love to get a really good price for her but at the moment im waiting to see what happens.....if something sounds to good to be true, then it usually is. I love my gorgeous little girl0 -

How did the paper get involved in the first place? I would hate to be in a newspaper but your obviously really excited...I will look out for the story in the nationals:heart: I love my gorgeous little girl0 -

I also had this thought. The family is obviously really excited and the money is going into trust for the daughter, if this is all a scam they are going to be GUTTED.
If I was a genuine buyer on any auction I really wouldnt want to be in a newspaper plus I may be miles and miles away so unless its somebody local to them who wants to be famous..... I love my gorgeous little girl0 -
I hope you make loads.. how did one sell for 7k on ebay when all others seem to be going for about 250 pounds?!0
