    Hi folks!
Taka that made me laugh, go for it though!
Tara, ironing definitely counts. As does vacuuming, dusting, and polishing.

That reminds me, another good idea if you're trying to get step counts up and things is to put washing basket in a different room to the washing machine, and load it one item at a time.

Today I had rice crispies with a tiny bit of sugar for breakfast with coffee, both with semiskimmed milk, homemade carrot soup for lunch with a pitta bread, and a strawberry yoghurt. Having salmon with potatoes and veg for dinner, yum yum yum. Went to the gym earlier, 10 minutes on the bike, 10 minutes on the cross trainer, 10 minutes on weight machines, 50 situps, and then for a treat I went in the sauna for 10 minutes.

    Hope you are all well

Argh! Put on 2lb at weigh in! :( On top of the SEVENTH person from my workplace joining my meeting (is it just me who likes relative anonymity? I'm way too self conscious about my weight to have half the building asking me how it went the day after weigh in!).

Anyway ... as this weeks weigh in is only 2 days into the month, and I'm sure the gain is due to the week before last (which was a bad week - I've been pretty good this week!!) I'm not counting it as July (so there! :p ) 4 full weeks / weigh ins from now takes me up to the 30th so that's what I'll do my 7lbs over. Ahem. Yes. I'm making excuses. Don't care! :p

Each person has to pick how they can cope with weight loss so if you are starting from now or next week then go ahead!

carol22 - your menu and exercise sounds very virtuous!!!! Thanks for the tips, I've just done an hour's ironing but couldn't be arsed with the other stuff! :D

burtoc - never mind the gain. (((hugs)))

lightisfading - I like anonymity too, why do think I'm here? :rotfl: Totally understand where you are coming from babe. Where do you work anyway, is it a small town?

I have been ok foodwise today, a couple of minor slip-ups this evening but with meringues and yogurt rather than chocolate. Right, off to bed. G'night all xo

Thanks Tara, sadly I did have a bowl of ice cream after dinner. I really needed something sweet, and had just had a difficult phone conversation. No point in beating myself up about it, I'll go to the gym tomorrow and work it off. Might do a few situps tonight so I feel better as well.

    Hope everyone is well

HI everyone - I have been really busy, sorry I haven't been around.
Well my 2 weeks off work has beenbrilliant and I'm not looking forward to Monday.
I've done some serious walking, climbed Snowdon too which was quite hard in this heat!
We walked round Rudyard Lake to, about 4 miles I think.
Then last night a sudden spurt of energy had me totally cleaning the bathroom, including the window and floor, at about 10 o'clock. I find it much easier to clean the bathroom in just my pants lol.

But, I feel so much better for all the extra excercise and I'm a bit worried about fitting it in next week when I'm back to about 6 hours on the road every day and a few hours in my customer's places (I'm a field service engineer)

Went to fill the car up yesterday and it was only then that chocolate popped into my head. It was then that I realised I hadn't thought about it for days! I just thought well I haven't missed it up till now so I won't bother. Just next week when I'm stuck on the M1 or M6 or whatever, I know the cravings will be serious.

carol22 - that's the attitude! :D Good luck at the gym.

Barneysmom, wow, you certainly have been active! Hope it's paid off on the scales. Have you tried taking healthy snacks with you to work to stave off the urge for chocolate?

I have just had a muffin (146 cals) with olive spread (60 cals - I know as it is one of the little catering pots left over from camping a couple of weeks ago) for breakfast. I was starving when I woke up and my Greek yogurt is at work.
