if it makes you feel better I just had fresh ravioli for dinner (cus i'm in a rush and it cooks in 3 mins flat, and no i didn't want salad!) - which is rather high in cals, and am now off to the cinema with a large bag of maltesers to share w/ friend(gonna buy a drink there but i'll stick to diet coke as their bucket-sized drinks must be a million cals  )

Tara - shakes seem to be going well for me although I missed mine this morning as I can't face it without mixing it with milk, it looks like something else when I use water bleurghhh. Aww sorry you found them yucky but well done on no mid-morning snacking whooop!
I've had a few naughty snacks today including some jelly sweets and baked crisps  I blame mid-shopping hunger pangs for those!! I'm about to have a WW meal for dinner which should fill me til tomorrow morning. Will have to make up my exercise tomorrow as I've done very little. All the coffee in Columbia won't make me a morning person...

I came across this thread this morning and thought that when I get home from work I'll join, it sounds just what I need. However I think I may be excommunicated before I start! I've had a really bingeing day and am full of stuff that's making me feel solid and will probably give me indigestion all night - but it was so yummy.
Briefly I weigh about 13.4 - or I did pre-binge - and about 18 months ago lost 1.5 stones. I haven't put that weight back on amazingly enough so take it that I'm eating/exercising at about the right level for maintenance though obviously need to lose more. I know I overeat not because I'm hungry, but for other reasons. For example today was supermarket shop day and as I've been paid a bit more this week, thought I'd treat myself with food. There were some yummy cakes and tiramisu in the reduced-to-clear section so of course I had to have those. (After all if they're reduced they can't be fattening too?!!!)So for my tea I ended up with salad roll (h-m) followed by crumpet and marmite (x2) - another treat, followed by tiramisu. The cakes had been eaten as I drove home. I remember Paul McKenna saying that people trying to lose weight think about food all the time except when they're eating it, and then they shovel it in hardly noticing it and even thinking about whether there are seconds or what the next course is. That's so me!!! I also don't overeat when I'm fed up, but when I'm feeling good perversely.
So please can I join? Several things are happening over the next couple of weeks which might make it hard but I won't binge again - promise!

downshifter, welcome and thanks for posting. Of course we won't excommunicate you - if that happened to everyone who'd gone off the rails and binged on junk this thread would have no members!!!!!!!! :rotfl: Forget about today - well, not completely. Focus on how your eating made you feel and use that as a motivation not to do the same tomorrow.
I also snack loads, whether I'm happy or sad! It's so hard not to!I've started calorie counting, it'll take a while to work it all out but it seems to be giving me a good kick up the bum if I have to account for everything I eat.
Most of us treat this thread as a sort of diary/confessional/support network and it is marvellous. You will love it xo
Edit: #100!(I am so sad)

coffeeholic - I did mix my shake with water, maybe that's the problem. Hmm. Anyway, it worked fine and killed my snack urges. I'm going to stick with it, it's only one yucky drink per day after all!
I walked for about an hour and 15, so that's almost 2.5 hours' walking today, 23 flights of stairs and about 40 squats. I ate slightly better than yesterday although could have done better. Jelly sweets and baked crisps don't sound that bad, and at least you had a WW meal to make up for it. OH cooked us a really stodgy pasta-y dinner, I dread to think how many cals were in it! I had a fairly big portion too, as I hadn't snacked all afternoon. So maybe it balanced out (yeah right!).
