I am going to do my list - honest!

But I got distracted by Blur live from Glasto - amazing! Years since I've seen them and I sooo wish I was there (or that they hadn't booked their Hyde Park gig for the same night I'm going to see Take That!) Still, I should be content with the gigs I have got tickets for really

    Right - list ..............

like DH did. She said in front of DH that basically because it was the first Iraq war that he should be ‘over it’ and can’t possibly relate to anything that’s going on now!!!! .....
? Anyway, I got him to my sisters and later at home he told me his worst thing he had to do – believe me you don’t want to know. He’d told me the rest of it before, which he’d never managed with his ex or family. Today I txtd BIL saying DH upset and he said he ‘has to man up’!!!!!

If it wasn’t for me they still wouldn’t be speaking they didn’t for 3 years, before I knew them, I pushed and pushed cos to me family is v important.

Carlsb - I'm sending humungous positive healing andbe happy vibes to you and yours. I have direct experience of working with people who have been in 'Stan, Iraq, Kosovo, Boznia, Falklands etc. And whichever war you fight in, however long ago, it doesn't get any easier - there are things you can't just 'get over' because they are in the past. And 'manning up' is not easy to do. I think maybe you need to rethink your relationship with your in-laws.... luv 'n stuff xxx

Need some crossed fingers for dry calm weather for next weekend. I shall check the net for updates as the week progresses.

Sending you dry calm weather for next weekend and some easy listening music too. You'll need it - there's not much sleeping to be had on such a camping weekend.

She said in front of DH that basically because it was the first Iraq war that he should be ‘over it’ and can’t possibly relate to anything that’s going on now!!!! DH walked out and went missing for a while as he was on the moors crying. He has done and witnessed stuff that no human being should ever have to even if they joined the army, for god’s sake why would WW2 vets still be having a hard time if years should put things to rest? Anyway, I got him to my sisters and later at home he told me his worst thing he had to do – believe me you don’t want to know. He’d told me the rest of it before, which he’d never managed with his ex or family. Today I txtd BIL saying DH upset and he said he ‘has to man up’!!!!! Sorry ladies – but I am disgusted

carlsberggal - huge hugs and prayers for you and DH. I am disgusted too - nobody should have to go through the horrors of war. I have to agree with soappie and say maybe there was a good reason why they didn't speak for 3 years - yes, family is important but only if it is loving and supportive. This sounds rather destructive to me  Take care of yourself and DH x

I am off to bed now despite the fact that The Prodigy are now on from Glasto - can't stay up all night!

    Night all, sleep well x

    Extras
    1. Wash any soft furnishings that are grubby
    2. Water and wipe any dusty dry plants!
    3. Sort a hotspot!
    4. Sort out the rubbish from your purse/most used bag

Housework only gets noticed when it's not done.
My fake plants died because I did not pretend to water them.
Can never keep up with the thread - otherwise I'll never get anything done! But hugs to All :grouphug:

.... what Soappie said. .... and what Frodders said.
Sorry your OH is having to go through that. And what the hell does "man up" mean. What a !!!!!! your BIL is. Blimey give me a man who understands, and has a depth of emotion, rather than emotionally stunted idiot any day. ((((hugs)))) to you both.

Frodders I meant to say, sorry I can't help with books re: adhd. My nipper has downs too, as you know, so she's not really to aware of it all. She just knows that she doesn't like how she feels when she hasn't had her meds. She'll ask for it if we've forgotten (which doesn't happen often to be fair  :) )

    Last but not least......

Thanks Piggers for the lists, and toots for the stars, and soappie for an unfailing ability to stap into the breach if required. :T:T:T

I may not be around much this week, but I'll be with you all in spirit. :D

ETA : Flybaby... is it you that's got a difficult day tomorrow? If so, I hope it goes as well as it can for you. Thinking of you hun.

Brave indeed - great photo eh!

What do you mean? are you saying that I'm usually lazy?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I actually have had more energy this week, so maybe the saying that if you exercise you get more energy is true - early days but quite enjoying it so far, and DD is joining in too, so all good.

Thought you might like this pic of my DD & DS as she tries on her prom dress just after we brought it (can't currently find the ones with her hair all done) this was in 2006:
