I feel I should do another 20 mins on the LR, only I'm a bit too hot to move! But I will feel much happier if I do it.
Ok, gonna do a 20mC while watching Fern and Philip getting plastered on this morning! They are so funny!

Fedup, glad to hear the bereavement counselling was helpful

Well done AnWs with the RoD

Summer glad to hear you took some time for you and that you are feeling a bit better.

  • Afternoon lovelies
Been manic this morning before I went to work, can’t claim a star but did a lot for me:
Cleaned whole kitchen – including microwave
Washed kitchen floor on hands and knees
    Cleaned downstairs loo and basin
Washed downstairs loo floor on hands and knees
    Aired and made bed
Ironed 2 things for work! Was going to do more, but too hot and a coffee beckoned me!
    Tidied paperwork
    Recycled loads of paper
Showered and got dressed for work
No wonder I’m sat here kn&ckered!

Too many lovely ladies to thank by name who have sent supportive messages and virtual hugs – they mean so much to me. DH copes really well normally – but they just triggered something in him by their cruel words. When we first met he still had nightmares, night sweats and used to jump about when asleep like he was fighting. He didn’t get any support at all from ex wife or family. Since then, with my encouragement he’s managed to discuss and face all the issues (for want of a better word) and doesn’t have any of the past symptoms now. Of course, it never goes away but he can normally deal with it, and I do try and be there.

    So:
Vanilla – my carping on about DH & BIL etc makes me feel ashamed after I read your post as you have so much more to cope with. You are doing excellently, but you HAVE to take care of yourself as well
Hex – hugs for you this week
Fedup – hugs for you too honey, well done for getting through it this morning, it will help honestly

carlsberg - you may not have got today's star, but it looks as if you're well on the way to getting some of the others when they come up!

AnW's mum - what are you going to do with all the space you're creating?!

I'm still not making much progress today. I'm now showered, and my teeth are cleaned, so hopefully I'll be dressed by lunchtime

    Hi all

Had a great 1st week last wk. Much more productive than I normally am. Definitely noticed it on Friday night when we had unannounced visitors. Usually if this happens I would have had a mad 5 mins running round the house tidying up, S&Sing, etc. Not Friday tho! I felt like my house looked fine... not perfect, but fine, so no need for the mad 5 minute panic :D

They are few and far between, don't think my manager would be too pleased if I opened up all the bags of coin we take in a day to check for them :rotfl: right I am goneeeeee

Greenbee, I had a similar problem with Vodafone, took three bills for them to get it right with the net result I will never use them again.

Serena, the Peter Nyssen catalogue just arrived. Time for a good drool and a fantasy shopping list.

The worst of my work stuff is sorted for today and I have managed not to go to a grim meeting in Liverpool tomorrow which is a relief. Still have to draft a tribunal response and calculate redundancy costs but can do those tonight as DH is away.

Yesterday afternoon I cut a bunch of roses from the front garden (hidden in a corner where you don't see them). Tiger kept trying to knock the vase over so I put them in our BR. The smell was just lovely and it is the best I have slept for a while despite far too much coffee.

I am just going to do a couple of e-mails then a HHC at 1.15pm if anyone cares to join me? I must clean my car out as it has to go for its MOT later.

MY DS2 mentioned the 20p's this morning - he was so excited. Shouted "Check your purse Mum" - became a bit deflated when i pointed out he'd spent all my coins yesterday on sweets when he was just supposed to be getting himself a drink!!:rotfl:
