Good luck with new Tesco & shopping. Hope they take all your mocs and you don't get trouted!!

At last I managed to used unlimited internet coupons at one of the T stores. Hubby nearly got trouted!!! One of the C/A was not happy when Hubby using the coupons to pay for his groceries. Silly hubby went to pay at the same checkout as me as the guy who accepted our coupons buzz the supervisor to check one of the coupon (which was no problem) but the female C/A next to the lad counter was so jealous.... & said there was a women earlier who also paid most of the groceries using coupon (which was me! :rotfl:) as well and I am getting fed-up of peeps using coupons she said to the supervisor.

I think I will stick to my 5 coupons a day Tesco, my heart is still thumping like mad. I was so scared of using so many coupons (around 20) after 7 months on non internet coupons allowed!:rotfl:.

Oh almost forgot to mention that the female cashier also mumble some like "she can only use 10% off her shopping" but the lad said something else to her & he carry on scanning my coupons.

  • My domestos and grotbusters scan - but my coupons print out quite large - half an A4 page.

I open them in preview and then use file - grab - selection and select just the actual coupon.

This then opens in a new window as a snapshot and I click to print - in the print box I untick the centre image box, Select 2 images per page and tick 2 copies per page. Then print.

Each A4 sheet has two coupons on it, each half a page and they always scan for me.

Hope this helps - and isn't too confusing :rotfl:

Yes because she decides Tesco policy :rotfl:

Who cares if she doesn't like it - its her job to take them and adhere to policy. Silly old trout

    Good idea.

Or I would print out the recent email someone posted a few pages back, it clearly states that Tesco accept coupons without you having to buy the product and is signed by a named person in Dundee.

In a store that hasn't a clue, an email with a name would be better than the policy wording from page one IMHO. If they still don't believe it, ask for the Duty Manager and then if need be politely ask him/her to phone Dundee. That's the first approach I would recommend in a store that hasn't a clue about the coupon policy - never just accept rubbish answers from cashiers and Supervisors.

Just because no-one has asked them about the coupon policy before doesn't mean there isn't one! Some staff members are such jobsworths they need a firm approach if a customer is to get anywhere at all - and often that means you just have to go over their heads to the Managers.

Be confident and friendly but insistent, bonjovibel 729.

hi was going to print out the email but thought it would be ok seeing as i used coupons in the same store yesterday guess it depends what sa you get....i asked the cashier she said fine use them then she asked another sa who said we dont accept them at all i told her i spoke to cs yesterday which i did and she said i could use unlimited coupons, she then went to ask cs herwself but you guessed it the lady who told me wasnt there today just an old trout who tried saying either 2 coupons or you have to buy the product.....still not satisfied i asked them to clairfy it with the manager as i had printed off all these vouchers after getting the ok yesterday and now i cant use them.....

they finally got the non food manager to come down aparently the store manager wasnt in on sunday and he said he has not heard of any policy and started reading the terms and conditions on the coupons which obviously say you have to buy the product i tried explaining that was the manufacturers policy not tescos policy but he wasnt budging and by then my hubby had turned a bright shade of red and was just saying leave it i was going to just say i dont want my shopping then but hubby was so embarassed he wouldnt let me and made me pay for it with cash....was not a happy bunny to say the least lol...then we argued most of the way home about him never coming to tescos with me again lmao why are men such wusses when it comes to saving money...didnt hear him complaining yesterday when i bought beer for him with my coupons lol

do you think i should contact cs tomorrow to get it clarified at my local or jsut leave it?

    Mortgage-free Glee!
My local T's seems to have reverted to take anything - It may be my imagination but I went in this morning and the young female SA scanned all my coupons for an easy £11, no only 3 internets, no 75% maximum, no problem :D. That's twice in 2 days where they have scanned everything - maybe they have actually been trained :rotfl:.
I got 4 more Rinse Aids for £12 worth of MOC's and a nice bottle of wine with 100 points on it and only paid a few quid. I used my backup clubcard which I haven't used for a while and got a till split for £3 off a £30 shop - result! :j
I can only get one more shop in before we go on holiday on Tuesday so I will have to use it - don't get over £30 often - think I'll buy more of that wine ;)
Enjoy the rest of the weekend fellow MOCcers.
If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat :D

Can't you tick 4 copies per page? That's what I do and they scan beautifully.
