hi moyilla,
sorry to hear of upset over this letter. I too would be upset.
it says that you used "competitor PRODUCT" coupons, not competitor coupons. ie 30p off tea, but saying asda on it. different to a competitor spend.
If I received this, i would be straight back there demanding an explanation, or phone up to make an appontment with the person who signed the letter.
if the coupon was a "asda" 0ne, how do they know it was from you? anyone could have given it in. they aslo need educating on what a photo copy is!!! explain to them that this company was emailed about the usage of the coupon, and the reply was to use it. (if i remember correctly)
you need to stand your ground, if only to clear your name. take it to the top within the store accusing you of using photopcopies.
good luck.
to jeffery(dd) AND BLWKD......sorry to hear you are unwell, wish you both speedy recovery, and hope you make the holiday jeffery.
and thanks to all for coupons/entertainment.
edit..........i am even slower than veggie!!!! LOLHi everyone,
Hope you are all well. I'm just back from a nice day out with the children to come home to a hand written envelope from my local Mr T's.
Inside was a letter saying the following
"Dear Miss xxxxx
RE Coupon Use at XXXX store
On the 15th & 16th July the clubcard registered to you was used at our checkouts for shopping detailed on the receipt enclosed. It was noticed that the coupons redeemed against this shopping are not acceptable for two reasons :
1. They are photocopies
2. We do not accept competitor product coupons
To help you understand which coupons we accept I have enclosed a copy of our coupon policy for your future reference. I hope you find this information useful.
I hope we may still look forward to your continued and much valued custom.
Yours sincerely for and behalf of Tesco Stores Ltd
xxxxxxx
Checkout Services Manager.
I am really upset by this letter. I have NEVER used a photocopied coupon and I NEVER would. I make sure I abide by the coupon policy religiously. The coupon was the £2 Finish one.
The coupon policy they have sent me is very detailed, (a full A4 page and not Store Specific)and says that they accept competitor coupons which contradicts what they have said.
I feel really, really awful, worse than when I have been challenged by a SA.
Can you guys give me any advice? What would you do if you got the letter?
Thank you everyone xxxkeep up the boycott folks......every little helps.0 -
in view of the warby's saga and the logging of IP addresses on couponnet is everyone still printing 2 of each couponnet coupon, if allowed or just the one?
I`ve printed two every time and haven`t had a problem.
Since it allows two until you reach the print limit and they are unique numbers I don`t see a problem. Some couponnet allow one and some two so i`m sure if they wanted they would have limited it to one by now.0 -

so sorry about your experience - the main issue is that they believe you abused their terms by photocopying your coupons - you need to see a mgr definitely (take some printed coupons with you as an example of your print quality) and ask him to show you the supposedly photocopied coupons and to clarify how he determines they are photocopied - they need to explain how they reached that conclusion. good luck.Life itself is the most wonderful fairy tale - Hans Christian Andersen2012 savings:remortgage £156.15pcm £5 pcm insurance reduced; 2012 Running totals: £10 goodwill requests/Grocery Coupons £12:T0

So do the likes of the CIF, Domestic and King of Shaves coupons count as printed ones or photocopies
Anyone know?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Moyilla, I would reply to it and tell them they've just contradicted themselves as you said. Tell them what you told us that you'd never break the rules!
I got called up in work today about the vouchers I used on Friday. Was taken into the training room by my manager and another manager (I know her name but not really what she does, kind of just walks about a lot). My manager was writing down everything we both said and I was asked questions like "where did I get them?" and "you've got coupons here for things we don't even stock" (to which I thought to myself that it doesn't matter because it's not store specific it's Tesco in general, am I right?)
I told her that I know it's the policy and I wouldn't have done it otherwise, I wouldn't break the rules. I showed her my policy print outs and you should have seen her face when she read them outI could see her looking over at my manager as she read it, you'd think they'd know about these kind of things - I feel like I'm the only one in my store that does!
Anyway, she said she'd give them to the help desk and they'd decide what will happen "maybe nothing, maybe something" apparently, lol!
I'm not worried mind, I've no need to be if it's legal and above board. It's their own policy after all, they can't do anything to me for following it! I was also told before I went home that I should probably stop using them until they get confirmation back! Just as well that I've run out of ink anyway:dance: Best Wins:

hi moyilla,
what a blow to think youve been picked on whilst doing nothing wrong.
One supervisor said to me last week( re finish ) "i think these are photocopied as you used one yesterday and when i print off coupons i can only print off one " i started to say they were pdfs but before i could explain she flounced off.
I think the s/a do get told off for abuse as my best s/a who used to take all my coupons has now clamped down and will only take 5 now he says even he only puts five in at a time. He did abuse it though as when he first started he told me he had a computer with no memory for coupons that would let him print out as many coupon net ones he wanted - they obviousley caught up with him as he would have been using his discount card aswell . I dont use my club card with lots of coupons i only produce it when the 5 rule is enforced.
