    Aww thanks BB :p

What I've not told any of you is that 5 minutes before we were due to leave the hotel room, I had my head in the sink almost throwing up with nerves _pale_
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

Sorry Sammy - OH was looking at results - think he googled the wrong race *rolls eyes* - still I think you well in this heat - just been out myself - its 'orrible!

Bunny - a question for you - purely out of interest so dont answer if you dont want to - which do you feel is the greater achievement? Mo Farah breaking the British 10k record a few weeks ago or a beginner runner (say for arguments sake someone running less than six months) completing a 10k?

For me its Mo Farah - he has probably trained everyday for years on end to become that good - I find that hugely exciting - dedication has pushed him to the edge of human achievement rather than genetic advantage. Yes its a great thing for more and more people to take up running and challenge themselves with new distances and times - but its not the same achievement as someone whose dedicated their whole life to something they love and to being the best in the world (well in the UK anyway :p)...

For me people like that are an inspiration to the rest of us chipping away at our times and fitness.

I can't answer that in terms of sport, but I tell you what, I find the people who are 'written off' in terms of achieving anything but go on and give it a go far more inspirational that someone who has all the time and resources to master something professionally.

I've come across some kids in the music insustry who came from poverty and squaller. These kids didn't go out robbing old ladies or turn to the bottle. They quietly worked on their guitar night after night with nothing but a dream of something better driving them. They may not all get fame and fortune from it, but they don't give up.

I've also met many of the born with a silver spoon types whose mums and dads pushed them through music lessons taught by the industry finest, bought them expensive kit and funded their first single. They may (because of their industry contacts) release an album before shuffling off to rehab.

I know who I would rather be around and who gets my vote for greater acheivement. It isn't always about the results, it's what you have to overcome just to make that start. So, in answer to your question, whose acheivement is greater. I would choose the girls and guys here, spud, sammy, snags, bunny, sally and all of the others who have got up and put on their trainers and made that first step a million times over this mo person any day of the week.
