And? Know what my mother had to do in Mr T's yesterday? Make a display of every Michael Jackson album ever made. Cashing in or what?

I would contact Record Collector magazine. You wouldn't believe the value of some records and rarities. They would be able to advise on it's uniqueness and therefore value.

Nothing wrong with selling it now. If he doesnt want the record then now is the best time to get rid of it. I've only found 7" copies of the record but if its 12" and its meant to be 7" then it really is unique and i would sell it to the hilt that it really is a one off.

And why are some people on their high horses over this? There's nothing wrong with it. Heres some info i found here on this 12" release.

The single discs can also be found individually, catalgue numbers below in brackets:
    I Just Can't Stop Loving You ()
    Bad (651155)
The Way You Make Me Feel (651275+)
    Man In The Mirror (651388)
    Dirty Diana (651546)

Also uncut promos of each disc exist and are very rare as only a very few are created for test pressing purposes. They appear within a clear 12" vinyl as shown below:

So it appears your version since it is clear, is a test pressing. These are usually done before the real vinyls are made. Its like a record label sending out 1 track CDRs today for radio play.......if it gets played well then official CDs with artwork will be sent out to radio with perhaps more tracks such as instrumentals etc.

It's not a one off. Uncut promos are rarer but quite easy to acquire. The ebay one is at £99 with five hours remaining however, no bids. On the basis the picture [square] disc 7"s are £65 for the set, the uncut single promo is probably worth £60-70 under normal market conditions. On the basis of recent events though, ebay will give a better idea of the inflated market price. Were you to sell to a dealer, Vinyl Tap and Vinyl Exchange are worth talking to.

Thats why i said HE should sell it. As in dont just list it with a picture. Make sure those that view it realise how rare and collectable it is. If your gonna sell something you gotta talk the talk lol.

And yes they are rarer and easy to aquire...most things are but condition has a lot to do with it.I bought an Eminem LP last week for £8 brand new and still factory sealed. That same LP is currently selling for £72 on amazon marketplace......second hand. Infact all of them are second hand. It all depends were you list and right now ebay is the best place. He really needs to sell it himself if he wants a good price.

I saw some MJ DVD's in Poundland. I jokingly said i'd buy them and put them on Ebay, but I bet someone genuinely did later in the day. I couldn't personally do it, even if I know that someone else would.
