badly....
i think i am suffering from nomotivationitis.....
i dont want to eat (healthily) and dont want to move (from the sofa).....
GAH! I need a rocket up my backside, weight hasnt changed at all... no surprise there.
i want my pre-pregnant body back.
Doesnt help that DH is mega lazy as well so on his days off he doesnt cook, and ends up wanting a take away, which was fine before i was pregnant because i had a really high metabolism, a flat stomach and was a size 8.... and now its just fine for him because he can eat like a goat, and nothing, whereas now my body is sucking up fat left right and centre.... so basically his laziness is making me fatWealth is not measured by currency0 -
My tips for shifting baby weight.
1. Dont stop eating the foods you like but try to cut out the fat. So if you like cheese, buy half fat cheese instead. If you fry bacon, grill it. If you like a sandwich, try to find a low fat marg etc etc
2. Replace your brekky with a shake such as slim fast. These contain the vits and minerals your body needs.
3. Try to increase your movement so that your heart beats faster and you are out of breath. So when you walk, walk faster...that kind of thing and if you have enough time or energy go to ONE aerobic class or swimming session per week until youre back to normal.
These tips will help you get back to normal without you having to change your normal diet or routine too much.0 -

cafc my OH is the same he doesnt really move unless has to (or i kick him) and he can snack and snack and snack and nothing all i have to do is look at a cake .. 7lbs is gained and thats not even chocolate cake ...

Morning everyone - well, I've been fairly good for the last few weeks (Pic n' Mix incident not withstanding!), I've been on the wii pretty much daily and it seems to be coming off slowly, but steadily. I've now got 16 lbs to go to my first target....
CAFC - I know what you mean about the lack of motivation - I find it really hard too get motivated, especially when I'm tired. I find it easier on days like that if I can exercise earlier - get it out of the way (if I've exercised I find it easier to stay strong as I feel like I don't want to 'waste' that effort, IYSWIM).
I've got a really bad sweet tooth, but I'm finding that when it's really bad if I suck on a murray mint I can normally get away with just eating a couple of mints which is a big improvement on my pre-diet bingeing....
Beenie - I think it doesn't really hurt to have the odd treat - especially if it's a small portion - you're less likely to 'fall off the wagon' that way than if you constantly deny yourself.
SM - Sounds like you're doing brilliantly at sticking to the healthy eating - well done!Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'

ooooh what an idea about the mints.....
I'm forever just grabbing things out of the kitchen cupboard, and then of course by dinner time i dont really fancy anything and end up making more bad choices....
Not a great fan of murray mints.... i wondered what i can substitute that i wont sit there and eat hundreds of.....werthers maybe... they takes ages! However we did find the other day fruit polos (anyone remember them?) I havent seen them in years.... 40p for a pack of polos though -SHOCKING!
Got a glass of oj and had my tablets. Got loads to do in the house... wonder if i can get away with that as my exercise for the day....
One problem im finding is finding the time to do exercise as well. I would do it when DH is up and having his "relaxing time" before he goes to work, if he had L. But he ends up coming to find me to get me to look after L, so i cant rely on the time being available. Maybe i just need to bite the bullet and tell him he needs to take him more....but then i feel guilty.... and it goes on...
Anyway enough of my depressive episode.
Anyone got any good recipes of pick up things to share, like muffins/cakes/biscuits etc LOL I think if i've put the time in to make them, im more likely to spend more time enjoying them, as opposed to bought ones which i will happily sit there and eat the whol packet of.Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
CAFC if you go to the OS board theres a recipe for a healthy tray bake .. very yummy believe me ...
red well done .. slow but steady wins the race as they say... i have to admit i have had the odd biccie but ive tamed it i no longer eat the full packet in one go .. 2 or 3 max and generally shared with one greedy little mister or on my feet at work so im not just sat feeling like im stuffing my face
...
went gym yesterday and as id been slacking last couple of weeks it hurt but in a good way and also my work friend said she might come my gym buddy... i burnt about 300 cals at the gym so pretty much my lunch
