Can I join you ladies ?

DS is 7 weeks and I've got about 2 stone and a couple of unwanted dress sizes of blubber that I need to shift before the summer.

I was so determined not too put too much weight whilst pregnant , (i was gonna be back in those size 10 jeans ,ooh about 2 weeks after giving birth):rotfl:

Anyway my first goal is to get out of my maternity Jeans ASAP (blooming sick of wearing them)

I started on the Boots diet 2 weeks ago & it seems to be going OK, OH is dieting also & has about the same amount of "New Dad flab" to loose.

Had a C section and I'm still feeling a bit achy (or maybe I'm a wimp) so I haven't started doing any exercise yet.I used to do a bit of running before I was pregnant & found that that was the secret to loosing & keeping off the weight.I don't feel up to starting that again just yet,but I've got the Wii personal trainer thinggy (mind you I haven't worked out how top switch the damm thing on yet)

    Cheers

how is everyone doing? everyones gone quiet? x

I've slightly fallen off the wagon - only to the extent that I am not losing any more, not putting on either though. We've had a stressful time lately with the baby, who is still a sicky thing, and one thing which has changed is that I've been advised for his sake to stop breastfeeding him and to put him on a special prescription only formula which is much easier to digest. We started this 3 weeks ago and stopping breastfeeding has definitely reduced my appetite but the stress of his continuing problems and the glumness for stopping feeding before I was really ready to have made the choc biscuit tin seem very appealing.

... though I should add that an elderly lady pointed me in the direction of the maternity bras in M and S yesterday even though I was pushing the baby in his pushchair at the time, so my thought that I only have a stone left to lose and don't look too bad at the moment is perhaps optimistic! I am back in my size 12 clothes though which surely can't be too bad for a 5'6"er?

Well I've let my workouts and my eating right slip the past couple of weeks, I've lacked the motivation, I daren't weigh myself for fear of weighing more than when I started. LO has been so clingly last few weeks so I'm finding it hard to even do the housework let alone workout. I'm hoping this is a phase and that LO goes back to entaining himself for a bit and me back to wanting to do my workouts.

On a more positive note I went out Friday saw all old work mates and they were all saying how great I look and how I don't look like I've had a baby, at first I didn't believe them but after a while I was rather happy with all the comments.

I'm hoping I can still reach my goal by end of April of being 7 n half stone and to have got rid of my baby belly.

Hope everyone else is doing well x

okay okay, so since originally posting and then boogering off, I've done zilch :(. Am fighting a gross cold at the moment and the willpower not to eat junk is just completely non-existant. HOWEVER, I am determined to do SOMETHING even if it's just small steps...so am going to start doing some tummy exercises as even if I can't shift a pound, at least I can tone up a smidge.

I don't know I just can't myself out of the rut...I've lost large amounts of weight in the past, when I was at uni, so I KNOW it's possible, just something in brain isn't letting me get past the I'm-hungry-and-I'll-eat-whatever-I-please sentiment that it had during pregnancy. :(
