Many many thanks for your replies ladies.

Bitsy – Oh don’t say that about waiting…..I don’t think I could wait another month. I’m hoping it won’t be too long now. I’ve got a feeling she’ll come early. The others were on time though. So time will tell.

Lady – I’ve taken vitamins with omega 3 all through pregnancy and felt great, they definitely helped and I’m carrying them on afterwards too. I think your right about the blood loss as the MW said to me that the more children you have the greater your loss can be, so they are keeping an eye on me. I’ll probably need lots of iron (didn’t think of that until you said)

SM – I was thinking of the SK to avoid going shopping really as I only shop every fortnight and I know how easy it is to grab for biscuits when you’re busy/tired. I’m not breastfeeding as it’s not practical for me/us and I don’t want to do it again anyway. Maybe I should just rethink things and see how I go on. I know healthy eating is the way forward but its also extra cost of fresh fruit and vegetables isn’t it. I’ve done weight watchers in the past but I don’t think I’ll have the time to count points and I don’t think I’ll ever run again due to reasons at home.(too boring to mention). I’ve got a year to lose it so no rush as such although I will have a lot to lose. I want lots of support along the way too ladies so don’t all go losing too quickly and abandoning me when you have lost all yours! lol

Well done on losing weight! Im sure it was only you that noticed you had a muffin top, we’re all sooo critical of ourselves aren’t we!

....Your all probably right about the SK , I’m too hard on myself trying to be the perfect wife/ mother and I’ve always been up out of bed 30 mins after birth putting a wash on and then WHAM 6 weeks later it hits me…will I ever learn..? This time though I intend to take it easier and rest ( if that will be at all possible with 5 children ! ) OH said he’s making me rest. Bless him…anyway thank you for your thoughts and advice I will take it all on board.

    Good luck
    Suzy

Hello girls, I'm ready to join properly instead of cheerleading from the sidelines!

Alexander Harrison arrived a week ago today in spectacular style - only to be expected really. I had an emergency c-section and ended up back in theatre with major blood loss.

Anyway, we've been home since last Thursday and I'm going to steadily start to try to lose weight. My best friend gets married in 6 weeks so I want to look okay for the pics. I am breastfeeding though, so that should help.

I've lost just over a stone from the weight I was the day Alex was born, but have about another 1.5 to lose until I'm truly happy. I'd settle for losing a bit more than 0.5 stone between now and the wedding, which seems do-able.

Well done to those who are doing well. ((hugs)) and encouragement to those who need it.
