I am sorry but reading this post actually made me quite mad.

It doesn't exactly take a person with brains two seconds to work out that, when you are making what is to most people the second most expensive purchase in your life time, you actually check the paper work. Whilst it is never nice to criticise another forum user, sometime it just has to be asked, why did you not think of this before parting with a lot of money?

Yes Carcraft are a complete bunch of theives, but if you are finding it out after the fact, maybe you should look at your birthdate and think, that day I was born and I am the one that day.. There is a massive amount of information out there saying basically do not go to car craft!

There really is not much to say other than you signed a legally binding contract, on site and with all details included. As such there is very little chance of rescinding said contract.

Calling someone a moron, and goading them to provide more details for the sole purpose of gloating is childish, gratuitous and uncalled for.

The OP is not the first person to buy a car from Carcraft, not read the smallprint, and make a mistake. It happens all the time.

Some disgusting replies appearing here. The op does not deserve to be labled a moron:mad:

She openly acknowledges they were naive in their dealings with Carcraft, insults aren't needed:confused:

She/they need to piece together a complaint detailing all the issues then use it to gain any compensation from CC they can. But I agree, it will be tough going and may be fruitless as CC are very used to disgruntled customers   , but I as most would at least try to do something rather than just roll over if supplied with a car under agreed standard.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

    Did you buy a Clio?

As said you failed to read the paper work, and by signing it you are agreeing to the terms of that contract. Adding your signature is an agreed way of showing that someone has inspected the contract (unless they are blind).

You then collected the vehicle so had a chance to inspect it, you didn't notice the miles, but by driving it off the forecourt you agreed with the condition.

The vehicle now has a fault and they are repairing it.

Don't you get a 14 day cooling off period with any finance arrangement?

AFAIK this only applies to "distance selling" of finance agreements.

I believe that where you sign contracts at a trader's premises there is no automatic right to a cooling off period.

Linus is a troll and is best ignored.

I believe he is one of (the the now banned) Uktim's aliases. For those who missed the pleasure of him, Tim was a nasty twisted individual who liked to poke fun at other people's misfortunes. It took a long time but they got rid of him in the end.

Just stick him on ignore and forget him. I have but occasionally have to read his drivel when someone quotes him.
  • Thankyou guys...as you say I didnt come for a slating I just wondered if anyone knew the way to deal with the situation?

Thanks for the helpful replies though...I am aware that we signed a contract without reading it,unfortunatly my husband hasn't had experience with credit and said that he felt pressured and just wanted to get out of there. They told us the paperwork would take 20minutes but kept him there for nearly 3hours trying to sell extra products!

Just because you don't like the answer, doesn't mean it's unhelpful, especially when it happens to be correct. ;)

So what you are now saying is you bought a car on finance without reading the credit agreement AND failed to inspect the goods before you accepted them.

    Good luck!

Agree with Premier. Sorry to be harsh but places like Carcraft love people like you !!!!

    :D
