  • Well i managed a NSD yesterday :T:T

Just been to have my holiday vaccinations and i have two very dead arms now. I have to leave for work in 25 mins, so I'm hoping they start feeling better soon.

Received a letter from Boots today, some vouchers and invite to the Christmas event at the end of the month, spend £50 and get £12 back in points. So definitely going to attend that, every penny helps :j The 3 for 2 bits are the same every year, so prob just end up spending £50 on holiday essentials and clothes/toys for my niece. Could even treat myself and buy the Marc Jacobs Lola perfume i have been wanting for months. Hmmmm.

Was another chilled evening last night, got back from inlaws and chilled out watching X Factor. Why didn't those two annoying twins go? They best go next week. Louis Walsh will end up with nobody when he gets back.

I never get any post from Boots, think they must have one of my old adresses. Sounds like a good deal though on the points.

I think the problem is with X factor you vote for who you want to win rather than who you want to go therefore people like the twins get through. Look at same difference, they were in the final three!
  • If you look on the Boots website Wendz it should tell you where and when other Boots stores are having the promotional evening. Bluewater is on the 29th October between 3pm - 10pm.

My OH and I were saying the same thing about X Factor yesterday, thats how they stay in, its so annoying.

My arms are in so much pain, they have been dead all day.

    Spent £3.26 today!

I normally get an email about those boots evenings, but never go to them. I can never find anything i like in the 3 for 2 christmas stuff. But i must admit i like to stock up in the sales though! haha!

Hope your arms are working again! lol

  • My arms are feeling a little bit better today thanks Maria - struggled sleeping last night as i normally lay on my arms. I must've fell asleep after about 2 hours of just laying there.

I too always stock up in the Boots sales, i normally avoid the 50% off sale, but keep my eyes on the Boots forum for when the 75% off sale is on, can get some really good bargains from that sale.

Only spent £1.46 today - I'm getting better at this no buying clothes malarky. However i am only really avoiding the shops because OH and I are going up town on Sunday with our best friends and getting holiday stuff for next month, so will probably be spending a bit of money on clothes on Sunday.

    xx

Thanks for letting me know. Think there are events I might be able to go for, would be good to get some xmas pressies.

I have been good not buying clothes this month too, waiting till my birthday as am hoping for some money/vouchers.
  • How hard is it to avoid buying clothes, i'm really struggling, I keep seeing so many lovely bits in River Island & Zara, and just want to buy them, but i will wait for the weekend.

Today i spent a big fat £1.50 for the park n ride. I did have to buy some womens essentials for £1.09 but i used my Boots points. Yay!

Does anybody else think its got really cold all of a sudden? I will have to dig out my winter wardrobe at the weekend i think.

Tonight its an evening of watching England and maybe crack on with the ironing to save me a job at the weekend.

    xx

I have kept myself away from the shops so hasn't been too bad.

It has got all cold, have been wearing all my warm cardys etc.
  • How do you avoid the shops when you work in London Wendz? When i worked just off Harley Street i struggled to stay away from Oxford St on my lunch break, i ended up spending far too much money and had none left for the weekend when my OH wanted to go shopping. It sucks working near shops.

Trying to find a jumper for tomorrow as the office was FREEZING today! Roll on Mexico, i miss the summer already.
