I called Sky today and expalined I wanted to cancel as Freeview were offering Freeview Plus for a one off payment and I was thinking of swapping over. The result was Sky+ for a one off payment of £29 plus £15 installation with no monthly cost, they are coming to install this on Tuesday. I was told that the cost was £129 but as I was a loyal customer they offered me one off price, I am quite happy with this and sounds a good price.

Can anyone tell me why I can't get "anytime"? We had Sky+ installed yesterday but it's saying to contact Sky because our subscription doesn't cover anytime but it should, we are paying £57 a month with multi room.

Sorry, but I don't think that's a good deal (look on their website). Or did you mean HD?

  • I'm waiting for the SKY++ relaunch - should be available in about 3 to 4 months. Unlike most SKY artificial additives it actually looks worth paying for,

Are there any HD offers coming up in the next month or so does anyone know?
I'm not willing to pay £109 for a new box and installation so may end up threatening to cancel.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Ok, here's a technical(ish) question that I'm hoping someone can help me with!!
I currently have a Sky box (non +). My telly is quite old but still working - I don't want to get rid of it just for the sake of it, though there is a possibility it might die some time soon, though I've been saying that for the past 5 years!. Whilst I understand that you need to have an HD-ready tv in order to enjoy HD, is it worth upgrading to a Sky + HD box if I can get a good deal (like free), and having it connected to my old TV? Apart from the HD functionality, would it work in the way that it would if it were just Sky +? Or should I just not bother until I actually get an HD TV? Whilst I could just get Sky +, I don't really want to upgrade twice if I can help it, and I don't want to end up with 3 viewing boxes - I too don't want to pay an extra £10 per month for multiroom:D

    Thanks!!
    I love Frazzles!

You get better storage on the HD box, and a better planner etc, but without an HDTV, is it really worth £10 a month??
I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing! ;)
