Unenforceable loans????

You got into debt and are now unemployed, if your claiming form Social Security, which i presume you are, my husbands 30% which is taken off his wages every week goes towards people like you (wether it be your unemployed by choice or not) take a look around , at what he is paying towards
If your husband does not like paying tax, I suggest he look at moving to a country with a lower tax burden.
Your husband contributes to National Insurance and is thus entitled to use the NHS and also receive various benefits if ever he were made unemployed. I doubt you would be so quick to make such comments if your husband, G-d forbid, were ever made redundant or unemployed. I also doubt you would turn away any benefits entitlement.
You accuse everyone others of being on a high horse, yet yours is higher by sole virtue of your husband being employed!
Yours sincerely,
A higher rate tax payer. What would William Shatner do?0 -
Will some of you Muppets out there realise that some people cannot pay their bills and that they are looking for advice not sarcastic remarks. They are not trying to dodge financial responsibilities just looking for help.
There are some people in that situation...no-one is denying that.
The OP is clearly hoping to just dodge paying though.
As for the muppet reference......take a look closer to home :T0 -

This is utter nonsense. Of course there are people out there who can't pay for valid reasons, and they should receive help. That is not obviously the case here.
Why, why, why do so many people come onto these boards having taken large amounts of credit and acting surpirsed when they have to pay it back? Should there be a big notice on all credit agreements stating - you have to pay this back?0 -
There is a difference between who is in financial difficulty and asking for advice and others who want to jump on a bandwagon " unenforcability " and look for ways to wriggle out of paying back what they have borrowed. At the OP's post seems to indicate she belongs to the latter.0

HEY !!!
sorry for the late reply but I have been at work.
I never really got into this for a verbal riot , though obviously some people have judged already and have made that totally clear ...
I have worked for my husbands company for the last 6 months without a wage, the reason for this is as we all know times are hard and there is not a lot of work out there. We have 3 people (also with young families) who work with us so and I had 2 options ...Work just now and not get paid (and hope things get better) or pay someone off ... Now again I may be wrong as so many people have different opinions but I could not have slept at night knowing I had put someone out for work (i do actually have a concience) Luckily for me us my husband has a good trade and for the time being can manage to support us all (we also have 2 children).
I am not looking for anyone to judge me on that either not looking for brownie points, by any shape or form just thought i would put you in a clearer picture.
As for my husband not liking the fact he has to pay tax, does anyone really ??? And when you get comments like tell your old man cheers for the broadband connection from someone who obviously hasnt got off their !!! to go to work that day, as a higher tax payer can you honestly tell me thats fine with you !
Now people are out of work for all sorts of reasons but lets not forget the ones out there who just dont bother because ' whats the point i can get cash everyweek live rent free , no council tax ) come on again lets be honest.
I dont doubt there are some pople who have lost their jobs after working for years, due to the current situation some our not working and thats not their choice ... but lets remember ones who just DO NOT WANT TO ...
Now NHS contributions are all fine and fare, tho being self employed if you dont work you dont earn any money, pay for your own perscriptions too, also recalling the night my husband suffered an eye injury, went to the A & E thinking he had lost the sight in one eye and was told to take a seat as it was a friday night and it was busy. 4 hours later after numerous clowns came in after stabbing each other and fightin in the streets we were still sitting, still unsure wether he would be ok, did he get any better treatment, na ya see he worked all day and evening before he went to the hospital, unfortunatelly did not spend the day and night gettin !!!!ed or out his tree on drugs t start fighting with people who were probably his mates when the day began, so cant honestly still say its fair.
Would also like to say that the loan I had taken out is nearly paid off though its more interest charges that were left, its not like i never bothered paying any of it back, and when i originally posted the thread I never asked for judgement I simply asked if this was something anyone had heard of, someone said you cant come on a public forum and expect what you want to hear, well I still never got an answer and have had people fire their thoughts at me and still got nowhere.
Now if i could get this loan overturned I would, and I do not feel like I have lower morals than anyone else, I again am being honest, and If it was the case it was loans since 2008 im sure i wuld not be the only one.
For others reference I do not have any credit cards or other loans,
Again thank you all for your comments most peole have been supportive and thank you for that, but others negative well thanks at least you took the time to put your comments in and i hope you too, now like me feel better for it.
I hope I have now wxplained myself enough and it will probably give you all something else to comment ..... I did not expect to get the reception I did, i was under the impression this was supposed to help ..
I now have to go back to work

Interest charges are the way the bank makes money. It's not like they had a free pot of money to give the loan to you; those interest charges cover their costs, to pay the person who set up your loan, etc. What would William Shatner do?0

Please please please go for it. Take the company up on their offer. We need someone to do it and if they succeed they can come back on the forum and goI TOLD YOU SO
