Morning Peeps!
Thanks Cheekymole and Consultant31 - Thats the way I do make my tomato sauce - I jut thought I was missing out on something different!!
Mrs Yatsey - I hope you are feeling more positive today and you avoided the Easter Eggs. How about diluting your wine with diet lemonade - that'll make it last longer and less syns??0 -
Hi Dihunny - Sorry I must have posted without reading your thread. So sorry to hear about your loss. Losing weight must be the last thing on your mind. Look after yourself0

Hi all, I just remembered reading somewhere back on this thread someone saying about eating to fulfil your points/syns each day to maximise weight loss & the weeks that were the better ones were the ones that had the occasional 'naughty' day, and the weeks with the least loss were the ones where you tried really hard to stick to minical syns/points.
Then I remembered (its gonna get painful if I do TOO much thinking today so will try and stop at two thoughts!!) something I read about a year about called the Wendie Plan, has anyone else heard of this? You can read more about it here........
http://www.stormpc.com/ww/wendie_plan.htm
It is written specifically to the Weight Watchers plan but I guess the principal could be applied to the Slimming World plan too? Basically it is saying about if you are follwing weight watchers and you are on a points allocation that you should have days when you go over your allocation and days when you dont have many points at all, this is supposed to kick start you metabolism or something and it tells you what pattern to follow, I guess with slimming world you could just have no syn days for the low point days and lots more syns on the higher days??
Just thought I would mention this plan as it does kinda seem to make sense and some people may want to try it if having trouble losing any weight at the mo, stick with what you are doing if it is getting results tho!! :j

Dihunny, I am real sorry to hear about your Ma hun, keep your chin up
Stress is a very strange thing and i can only assume your weight loss is mainly due to that, I imagine its a tough time on you at the moment so don't go too harsh on the dieting as you need to keep your strength up but stay with us & determined
take care

Sorry for your loss Dihunny.
But for MrsYatesey, if you are doing a lot of exercising, it may be that you are making muscle, especially if your clothes are fitting better! Fat weighs less than muscle, you see ...Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

Just to warn you, some of these recipes don't have the correct syn value on them - for example there are two recipes using corned beef, which used to be a free food on red days but isn't free anymore.
Having said that, when I started on slimming world a lot more foods were free, including things like Heinz Macaroni Cheese, canned spaghetti bolognese, and corned beef, and I managed to lose 6.5 stone, so it still worked!

Not happy. I've been sooooooooo good all week and lost only ½lb. I went on a set of scales in town this morning before SW and they say that my ideal weight is 8lb light than I am and the SW book also says that if I weigh in 2lb heavier I'm in the overweight range
Who writes these books and makes up the rules anyway?
My body (I think) has decided that it is happier here and (I think) I'm happy where I am. I told my consultant that whatever weight I am next week, that's it TARGET.
Must have a good week (mind you I always lose measly amounts when I'm really good).
Grumble over...:rotfl:
Hi Cheekymole - have you worked out your BMI (Body Mass Index)? It may give you a better idea of whether you are within the healthy weight range. To find out more about BMI go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/health/healthy_living/your_weight/bmiimperial_index.shtml
The good thing about SW is that you can 'call target' when you feel happy with your weight, unlike WW where they set your target for you, based on the standard weight charts. When I called target I was over a stone heavier than the target that WW had set me, and there's no way I could have lost that amount of weight without being stick thin.
Well done for getting as far as you have. :T :TStart BMI - 38.7 Current BMI - 31.2 Target BMI - 26.30 -
Hi Lois,

You're welcome Cheekymole
I'm pleased to have made your day!
