Evening all, just been to my class (although couldn't stay for Image therapy as my Dad was babysitting on a strict 30 minute time zone!). Right, have been as good as gold this week, loads of exercise (seriously hard running and stuff), with the exception of Thursday at the funeral where I had a lot to drink, the rest of the week has been angelic and for my troubles I lost ............ half a pound!! Gutted. Good job I have no chocolate in the house, am feeling very down about it. I thought I had done better than that, and in my clothes it looks like I have. Have still lost half a stone in a month, so if I carry on then hopefully will have lost the whole 1 and a half stone (1 stone to go) by the end of the summer, but still ...... really cheesed off and could have done with staying to right the mood before the weekend (we ahve our friends staying who are big wine drinkers). Already planned the meals, just got to maintain the drink level.
Anyway, sorry to moan! Going to bed before I raid the kids easter eggs that I have just remembered about!
Misguided maybe, but never really bad!! :A

Honey, my tomato sauce is almost exactly like cheekymoles. Tinned tomatoes with garlic and herbs, add onion, mushrooms and chopped peppers and Bob's your uncle!!
The couscous with Muller is almost like rice pud, I have it warm for breakfast nearly every day, sometimes with added fruit. I love it and, of course, it's free on a green day, saving HEs for later in the day.
Mrs Yatesy, ½lb off every week equates to almost 2 stone a year - don't be downhearted. Gather together something (potatoes or tins of food) that weighs the same as you've lost and cart it about with you for a while - you'll soon realise how well you're doing. Every ounce you lose counts!
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

    Hi Consultant31,

Yes it seems contradictory about the chickens, I eat them for free but obviously if I wasn't loosing then I would have to concider syning them. It's a shame we can't get the syn values for stuff.

I live in west yorkshire where about are you? tis a big place I know. I live in Leeds.

I'm near Pontefract (my son lives in Leeds).

Mrs Yatesy, that's just how I felt on Tuesday so I know exactly how you must be feeling. ½ lb is ½ lb though and if you continue to lose ½ lb -1 lb per week, you will still have lost your stone by the end of the summer. I had 1½ stone to lose and that's what I did in 3 months. With so little to lose in the firsat place, it takes slower and longer than someone with loads more to lose. I get so annoyed at class when people have lost 5/6/7/8lbs but then think that some of them still have 5/6/7/8stone to lose and it always comes off quicker if you have more to lose.
Another thing is, if you lose it gradually it is more likely to stay off in the ,ong run.
I hope a good nights sleep has made you feel better with a sunny day ahead, smile and leave those chocolate eggs alone

    Hi all,
I'm feeling much more upbeat today! I've got myself back on track and I'm feeling better. I have started the slimfast plan just to try and get my meal sizes down a bit for a couple of weeks, then I'm gonna change to a healthy eating plan. Since Monday I've been having a meal replacement bar for breakfast, a slimfast shake for lunch and a healthy dinner. I also went to the gym for a good old workout last night. I have been feeling a bit down but I jumped on the scales this morning and I have lost a pound which has given me a big boost! I can do it!!! I'm not going to obsess over the scales - in fact I might get hubby to hide them, but it has certainly give me the proverbial kick up the butt that I needed!

Hope everyone else is doing ok!
    Sam

    Hi Sam,

Well done, a good kick up the **** is what we all need sometimes. Certainly get your OH to hide the scales and just weigh once a week.
Don't envy the milkshakes but good luck and yes you can do it

Cheekymole, I have deleted the messages in my inbox now! :D

Weighed myself yesterday and lost 2 stone in a week! I think my scales have had it - ha ha! Nipped to SILs house and think I have stayed the same this week or at least thats what i think as the scales weren't the same obviously!

Someone mentioned mugshots up the thread a little bit, I love em, have the chow mein flavour or the nice n spicy or something like that its called, they are three for £1 in tesco at the moment!

Does anyone else have the Heinz Meanz Beanz? Some of them are free syns and some of them are not, they make a change to normal beans but have a bit of a kick! :D

Good luck everyone losing weight :D

    Hi I'm back:D

I've had my Ma ill since Easter and she died on 4th May.The funeral was on Monday so I'm still trying to get my head together.

Can someone tell me how I have managed to lose six pounds in the last five weeks? I have eaten as much and as badly as I liked (including eating a bar of chocolate every day) and have drank white and red wine?

Also on this board the page is 81 and yet on the following link it's 41?
