fairmorn308 - good luck with your weight loss efforts! I know how hard it is.

Might I suggest that you give your gp a visit - your comment about your increased consumption of irn bru might be of interest to him/her if the impulse to drink is in response to hard to get rid of thirst rather than your just liking the taste. I don't want to worry you, but it might be a good idea. In any case cutting out drinks like that is a v.good idea - not just because the sugar content swells your belly and rots your teeth - but the nutritional value of such drinks is nil, they really are a waste of money.

    Hi Cheekymole and everyone else.

I haven't posted on the lose weight thread since March, when it was lose weight 5. At that point I was looking for a job, and had lost 2 stone 8 1/2 pounds. I stopped posting because I was dithering about my weight. For a few weeks I was 1lb on, 1lb off, stayed the same, then I started working for Manpower. I had two little jobs, then I got offered one day doing admin ( I hadn't worked for 5 years, so had no recent job experience). I am now in my 10th week, and feel there is a distinct possibility that they will take me on permanently, with the added bonus that I have lost more weight (in fact 9lb in the 9 weeks at my current assignment) and am now at a total weight loss of 3 stone 5 1/2 pounds.

Hi Sue! I was wondering how you were doing these days!

Almost 3 and a half stone is really marvellous. I too have a very long way to go but at least we're making progress! Hope you get back in the habit of posting!

    interesting article ted,

i assume is hard to get enough vitamin d naturally in this country (even taking into account the last week or so where its not safe to sit in the sun).. or does it have to be just daylight ??

Hi all - I've updated the chart, click here to go back to it.

Suggs - I looked for your first post in the thread to find out what your total weight loss is so far, and it said nearly three stone so I've included that - if that isn't correct please let me know. Well done :T
