I've emailed SW headquarters about this person so hopefully, they'll put a stop to it.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Hi Suewre - welcome to the club. There's more about it here.
All you need to do is post your weight losses on this thread each week, and I'll update the results list and post it every Monday.
Well done for your wait loss so far :T

I had set myself a target to lose a stone before I went on holiday in April, which I did. (some has gone back on  ) I still want to lose another stone though.
Target by next week then:rolleyes:I haven't got one!0 -
Suewre wrote:Hi Cheekymole and everyone else.
I haven't posted on the lose weight thread since March, when it was lose weight 5. At that point I was looking for a job, and had lost 2 stone 8 1/2 pounds. I stopped posting because I was dithering about my weight. For a few weeks I was 1lb on, 1lb off, stayed the same, then I started working for Manpower. I had two little jobs, then I got offered one day doing admin ( I hadn't worked for 5 years, so had no recent job experience). I am now in my 10th week, and feel there is a distinct possibility that they will take me on permanently, with the added bonus that I have lost more weight (in fact 9lb in the 9 weeks at my current assignment) and am now at a total weight loss of 3 stone 5 1/2 pounds.
Well done on the job and the weight loss - excellent result :TI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

Now that's something you dont want to be on the receiving end of :rotfl:
Welcome back Sue - good to hear from you. Well done on the job and the weight loss. Stay with us this time and good luck!0 -
Its funny Cheekymole was saying that she had been reading the Losing Weight 5 thread - I was looking through it yesterday too. Got me thinking that this thread has had so many new members and we have all done what we came on here to do - LOSE WEIGHT!!
I think we all deserve a pat on the back (NO CHEEKYMOLE - I SAID PAT ON THE BACK, NOT KICK UP THE ****!!)
Perhaps this thread is getting too long for new members to catch up on - should we start a new one (LW7) as we did before. Does anyone want to do the honours - I did the last time and don't want you to think I am taking control - Pink Winged kindly locked the old one and made the new one sticky so a PM to her would be in order too - what do you think??0 -
We must all be mind readers on here. I sent Pink a PM earlier today asking what she though about a Lose Weight 7 but she hasn't got back to me yet. I'm in the same mind as you Honey that newbies might find it a bit daunting to read just a couple of pages of this never mind 92 pages!
Sorry I took control this time!!!!!!I haven't got one!0 -
As long as I don't have to pledge for 2lb every week, I am in. I lost 2lb this week (I weighed in yesterday), and I would like to lose 1.5 lb this week, so I get my 3 1/2 stone award.
I don't feel I am a big fat useless lump any more, that is just a big part of the reason why the weight went on, so that people wouldn't expect too much of me. I have been up and down emotionally over the years, and was very depressed a few years back. It got to the stage where I didn't even want to talk to anyone.
Now I am 40, (41 in a couple of weeks), I am back in work. There I am Sue, not Sam's Mum or Matthew's Mum, but ME. People ask ME for advice, they listen to me, I make decisions. The weight loss isn't scaring me so much, in fact I am happy that the size 22 trousers I bought last month because the size 24's were falling off of me are getting a bit big as well. I feel so much more confident. But I know if I start to think that if I lose 2lb a week, I can be at target in 49 weeks, then I would be pushing myself too hard, and I would probably panic and self sabotage. Setting myself a lower target and exceeding it is much better for me.Quidco cashback paid out so far £745.89 :j0 -
Sue, you don't have to pledge 2lb at all, just be happy with yourself and what you are doing, you certainly sound a lot happier than Lose Weight 5.
Don't get down in the dumps again, come here, talk to us, we always do our best to cheer people up.
Keep smilingI haven't got one!0 -
Sue - I'm in the 2lb club and think this week was the first week that I actually lost the 2lb!! (well ok 2.5!!!)
If you read back a few pages some of us are looking at it in a different way -eg I have set myself a target of 7lb for the month of July. We all know we have up and down weeks and so stretching it out over the month seems less daunting - to me anyhow.
Cheekymole - I'm glad I got my crystal ball out - now for tomorrows lottery numbers!
I'm off to bed with my new SW magazine - OH on nights to peace to read it!!0
