Well done Moira and Cathys, you guys are an inspiration.

Welcome Moo, and congratulations on the weight loss so far...you'll get great advice and inspirtation on this thread. Keep coming in regularly, it really helps!

Thanks for the thought of the day Lois..... keep them coming. I think they're great.

I'm pleased that I managed to maintain after my weekend in Dublin. I was watching that Look good naked programme last night and decided half of my self image problem is that I wear the wrong clothes... Did anyone else see it? What did you think? I'm going to go out and start looking for fitted jackets and 50's style skirts as I'm quite like the woman on the tv programme last night (size 18-20 and not 16 tho)

So far I've managed to stick to my points this week (although I'm only 2 days in). I'm feeling really positive for the weekend as I have loads to sort out and DH is on night shift. I have a christening to go to on Saturday.. hopefully it won't be a buffet or I won't be able to touch anything... too difficult to point! But I do plan to take my DS and Sasha out for a few walks this weekend. I'm due to start back at work on Monday morning after nine months off... I don't know how I'm going to do it, but I'm hopeful that being back at work will help keep me occupied during the day and away from the sweeties and biscuits.... (positive thinking all the way)

Affirmation for today.... I WILL achieve my goals, I will achieve my goals, I will achieve my goals.

    Good luck everyone.

    DB
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.
Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.

Yay me. Lost 2lbs this week :D - still have to lose half a pound to get my second stone! The scales were wavering for a couple of seconds and me and our class instructor were both cheering them on to tell me i'd lost another 1/2 but no such luck!

Well done to cathys and dellybelly! And welcome moo.

That programme sounds interesting delly and maybe more constructive than the '10 years younger - bikini special' one that i seem to catch everytime i turn the tv on!

Well done all you losers out there and a very big welcome to Moo.

I'm with you cathy, our consultant is so wooden and never dishes out any advice. We recently had a stand in and I felt great and totally uplifted when I left. So yes, consultant31 has also given me far more advice. Thanks consultant31

    Hi all

Another 1lb off for me (4lbs in 2 weeks). I was a bit disappointed as I have been really good but perhaps it's just one of those things...hopefully it'll show on the scales next week! :D I'm feeling pretty motivated - I know I can do this. I could probably do with losing 2 stone or a little more. It's my birthday tomorrow (44) and OH and I are taking the day off work to mooch around Covent Garden n stuff, have a nice (sensible) lunch somewhere and then dinner in the evening with our DS (3) with birthday cake and candles (more for him than me...lol). I will only have one slice of cake, I will only have ONE slice of cake.....

    Well done losers! :D

    Petal,

Well done to you on continuing to lose. In my experience I dont and Im sure many dont lose weight in a graceful steady decline, one week I will lose 3lbs the next I will 1lb, then its 2lb then maybe 4lb.

Its incredibly frustrating but as people keep reassuring me, your heading in the right direction :T

Happy Birthday for tomorrow enjoy yourself :bdaycake:

thanks 31, are you a ww or sw consultant?

SW all the way. I've been a WW slimmer (many years ago) and I did lose my weight with them - the diet was good.
Unfortunately, I like LOTS of food (not that I'm a pig you understand, lol) and I put all the weight on again (plus some).
I found with SW that my huge appetite is catered to and I'm therefore, less likely to over-indulge on the 'bad' things, making it easier to stick to for life, which is what we all have to do in order to stay slim.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

    Hello everyone,
Had my weigh in last night, after my 1/2lb gain last week, I lost 1 lb this week! That's a better outcome! Am aiming to lose 1 1/2 more lbs before my hols in two weeks, and then I'll work off the damage and 4 or 5 more lbs after that to get to my happy weight!
Our SW consultant is great actually, I moved to one near my new house having left the last SW group 18 months ago and given up because the consultant did nothing to inspire me. She was very wooden too, and unable to really get anything interesting in the group. In this new group we just laugh all the time and it has a much nicer feeling about it, I am hoping that when I get to target (please note the determination in this phrase!!!), it will still be my social outing on a Wednesday!!!
    Have a great week!

Hi everyone, well done to all the losers! I had my weigh in yesterday and am pleased to report I lost 3lbs this week!!! Just got to keep up the good work now..... unfortunately am away for work next week and always find it a struggle when I'm not cooking the food myself - you can think you're being good but not aware of any extra "naughty" ingredients!! eg. I can make a lovely 0 syn spag bol but bet if I had spag bol in a restaurant it would have loads of syns!! Oh well, i will just have 2 try my best!!!
