There are some really good recipes on those threads, thanks for that, better stock up my cupboards a bit. Netto has a good offer on from today of 24 jars dried herbs & stand for £14.99, might have a look at that to stock up on herbs.
Other recipes I would like are for the cold pasta sauces that are used on the salad bar at Morrisons, any ideas....0 -
Rather than put mine on the old threads (or would that be better?) here is it:
Heat 2 tbsp or so of oil (not olive) in a pan. Add a finely chopped onion and cook until soft. Add garlic, 1/2 tsp chilli, and 1 tsp each of cumin and coriander. Cook for a minute or so. Then add 4 tablespoons of crunchy peanut butter, and mix in (slowly) 1/2 cup water. When it is all absorbed (and thick) and 1 tsp soy sauce or tamari (my favourite) or shoyu, and some lemon juice. Taste it to see if you need more soy/sort of soy, and then leave to cool. Serve with raw veg, otherwise known as crudites.Mortgage started on 22.5.09 : £129,600Overpayments to date: £3000June grocery challenge: 400/6000 -
Just in case you're interested I was recently on a very strict diet and could only eat meat and salad. I really missed dressing but couldn't have anything with extra fat in it. Here is my fat free dressing:
Lemon juice
red wine vinegar
mustard

chilli
Put in a pot with a lid and shake. - surprisingly tasty!Tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it yet...0 -

Merry Christmas!
I should add that DH saw the title of this thread and thought 'DIPS' was some kind of acronym for a disease or illness of some sort. LOLMay all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
hi demented
guacamole: in a blender put insides of advacados, some red onion chopped, about half a tsp of chilli powder and the juice of a lime, but don't worry if no lime, it will still be ok, just blitz it and voila guacamole:j'If you judge people, you have no time to love them'
