I'd agree with that.
I doubt if you save anything as when I've tested mine locally some of the routes it picks are a bit weird, they get you there but not necessarily the most efficient way a local would go.It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
Too many people engage their Satnav and then disengage their brain!.....0

Yes I can vouch for that then we both blame sat nav for being wrongfreakybacon wrote: »Satnav does stop a lot of arguments between my girlfriend and I over navigation directions and for this reason alone I would recommend them.0

overall excellent, i can drive between places all over the country taking diversions if i see trouble ahead all without having to look at a map.
People who say they know better routes all over the country must have to spend a lot of time studying maps!0 -

sounds like a good way to save on comfort presents - flowers, chocolates... - as a way to apologize for 'navigation arguments'0 -

I live at the bottom of a residential cul-de-sac. Behind me is a train line, and on the other side of that an industrial estate. At the bottom of our road is a footpath that crosses the railway line to the estate.
The TomTom mapping system thinks this is a road. You wouldn't believe how many articulated lorries we've had to help do three-point turns at the bottom of our road. Surely the look at the turning, off our main housing estate road onto a cul-de-sac and think "something ain't right here..." :rolleyes:0 -

Is there no cul-de-sac sign on either side of the street - to start with?0 -
My satnav is a boon ever since I downloaded all the Hospitals as POIs on my Tom tom, I get sent all over the country with work to hospitals.
And it does save me time, in the towns and cities I dont know well, Where some of the town planners on acid when they devised the road systems in this country?0 -

Do you know, I have no idea! I'll pay attention next time I drive home...0 -
Satnav is a boon in cities. It gets you in the correct lane. The problem with making one wrong turn in places like London is that it can add 15/20 minutes to your journey for you to get back on track. The man without a signature.0
