Hi all
I've been on a massive tangent for a while now, I was on the final stages of my sampler but I didn't like something I did, so put it aside to decide whether to undo it or not and have been working on a friend's Tree of Life embroidery instead. It's the third time she's stitched it and she ran out of time and so I said I'd help out. I was going to add a link to the design but when I did a search on Tree of Life was stunned to see thousands of different ones. I thought there would only be one
Yes, there does need to be a UFO warning LOL, loved reading all your posts as I haven't been here for a while. And what a gorgous design with the butterflies.
What annoyed me recently with another UFO's is that because it has been put aside for such a long time, during a tidy up, I removed the threads and mixed them up with all my main ones. And as they weren't numbered it's annoying as there are so many similar shades. Now I can't be bothered to find them.
Good luck this week everyone. It would be nice to finish another project.0 -
Hi everyone! I've been away for a couple of weeks visiting family & haven't been able to keep up to date with the messages. Have just read all the posts I've missed & I'm now all caught up! I've missed reading about how everyone is getting on with their UFO's & trying not to buy more stash.
I'm still stitching my Halloween Meg & Mog. Hoping to get it finished very soon as it would be good to have it framed and hanging up by the weekend. Then I've gotta get going with the final season (Autumn) of my Grandma's Lizzie Kate set. Anyway, just wanted to check in and say I've missed you all! :grinheartCross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Don't know if it helps but what I do size depending) is use A4 or A3 popper lock or zip lock bags like these or these and put each project and it's threads in one of these. So next time i decide to pick it up (even if it is 10 projects later) it is all together.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -

Thanks chickywiggle. Brilliant reminder.
The difficulty I've encountered is when I transfer the skeins onto plastic bobbins and keep them in seperate boxes.
However, in future I'll have to label the boxes, or else use bags and keep the threads on cardboard or plastic thingies - strips with holes in them.
I do have some plastic folders of different types and put my charts, material in them and always keep threads in the seperate smaller boxes. No wonder things get lost easily.0 -

.
Thread sorters - that's what I use, means I can have different ones for different projects and don't need to mess up my main thread organisation, they can stay in their boxes.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. elfen - I know that feeling, I have to avoid going down the X stitch aisle in Hobbycraft, out of consideration for my bank account (lol):DCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219.
